Do you say “20” or “two-thousand and […]”…
… when it comes to pronouncing years after 2009?
|
I roll with “20”. “Two-thousand and” just sounds annoyingly clunky to me. Low-key irritant, even, but everyone’s different.
|
twenty 25
but 2 thousand and 18 |
I say Twenty.

Probably a bit of both.
Two thousand and - usually and you’re right it does sound weird and clunky! “Twenty twenty five” to me sounds extremely American. |
I say TwoZeroTwoFive to be annoying.

According to Ella Langley it's Twanty Twanty.:joker:
Listen to the 20 20 song, it's how she sings it lol. Edit... Just to clarify, I like hearing people's accents come through on songs, it adds character. |
Saying 20.. something would probably be easier but i always say two thousand and whatever :joker:

If someone said to me two thousand and twenty five, I’d be mildly irked. I don’t even know why, but it would just grate on me. :joker: |
