Who\'s Fed Up With The Constant Dip In sound??
 

I for one am, I sit down, open a can of beer, get ready to watch the LF of BB and fkin most of it is sound effects.

It's ridiculous, we're lucky to even get 10mins of talk, before they play those stupid sound effects.

No wonder viewing figures aren't gr8, I want to watch uncensored LF.

It's gone beyond a joke now.

I think it seems silly watching it live when there are so many dips...I understand they have to censor out some parts like chatting about family etc but it seems they dip out the bits they want to keep for the highlights now too which makes it hard to watch.

I am i wanted to hear ziggys terrible singing but they cut the whole thing out.

^LOL no not really she wasent saying anything or singing anything.

Could be a music copy right issue there. They only pay for the music heard in the highlight show and not on live feed.....

As for other sound dips apart from editing out personal stuff that could cause legal problems I am convinced they dip the sound mainly to stop live streaming viewers from hearing dialogue before it's shown on the highlight show.

Problem with that is most of the dipped broadcastable sound never gets aired.....Shame on CH4 the way it treats live stream viewers.

I'm fed up with it aswell, i've don't really watch the feed now because all i hear is birds.

i whinge about this EVERY year!!!! .. it annoys the bejesus out of me! .. its just one of the pitfalls of watching the livefeed, ( we are sad really, aint we)

i thought they could change the soundeffects.. we've had the same ones for the last 6 years to my knowledge, how about different ones, ..here's a few examples:
1. a man trudging through virgin snow ( i love that sound)
2. a babbling brook
3. the sound of a dog barking
4. a baby making gooey noises
5. a family playing tiddleiwinks
6. a helicopter ( another of my favourites)

feel free to add any more.

I dont think its been as bad this year for someone reason but that might just be me but i hate it when their having a good conversation or something exciting is happening and then they cut to someone in the garden doing nothing or carole cleaning

The reason why there's always lots of dips is sounds is mainly for legal reasons, if the housemates are talking about a branded product or talking about a person that hasn't signed a contract to agree that they can be talked about on TV then it can't be heard. If the housemates talk about branded products then it could be seen as influencing what products people buy on the outside world. Also they can't show swearing or really horrible rows before the watershed. I wish these rules wern't in place though, because it's really annoying.

It's not like, that just because lets say Liam says "this Strongbow larger is the best" that we're going to all go out and rush to buy it.

Sometimes they dnt seem to be talking about anyone else or branded products, yet they still dip the sound.

I dnt remember BB6 being anywhere near as bad.

I expect over the past few years, the rules for what they can show and what they can't has got tougher.

i have sky and i fell that, just how sky out a pin on 12+ rated movies before the watershed they should do the same on BB live feed. then we could get rid of them annoying noises. this plan would be great!!!!!!!!!!

They can't though, there's plenty of other reasons why they can't get rid of the sound dips, even in the middle of the night.

It definitely spoils the LF and it does get annoying to the point where I just turn off.

It's nothing to do with that. if Channel 4 had their own choice I doubt they would have a sound dip. It's all down to legal reasons.

Using pin would not make any difference. The pin system is designed to protect minors from adult material not from censorship due to legal reasons.

That's true of course but there is a lot more to sound dipping than that. It is often clear that the sound dips so CH4 can save the best bits for the highlight show.

It's not only sound dipping. When a task is in progress for example editing cuts out intersting action which is being saved for the highlight show.....

Channel 4 need to dig into their pockets, get whatever contracts need to be signed signed, pay off whoever they need to pay off, so that we can watch the live feed in peace without those stupid sound effects every 2 mins.

Why not get somebody employed to just dip out the specific bits?
