Add YouTube videos to forum posts
Updated post in July 2016
You can add YouTube videos to forum posts by clicking on http://cdn.thisisbigbrother.com/youtube-video.png when you reply or post a new topic, and entering the code in the YouTube address. eg for http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGOqPzv7WMA the code would be SGOqPzv7WMA Or... enter the [yt][/yt] tags eg [yt]SGOqPzv7WMA[/yt] results in... Additional way. The old way of putting the whole Youtube link in tags works again. eg. results in... |
Whey! I was trying to do this earlier today!!!!
|

It's a very welcome addition to the forum :)
|
Ooooh thats sooo cool! Thanks James.
|
I was gonna post about this earlier but didn't know if it was definitely new, or if I'd completely ignored it for a while.
Nice addition  |
Oh Awesome Addition, Thanks James!
Does that mean we can put youtube videos in our signatures? |
Great addition.
|
Wicked now we can stop doing links that people wont click on :spin2:
|
Wow a post that isn't about a certain HM
|
It works slightly differently to the OP now (that was 6 years ago), the tags are actually [YT][/YT] and the only bit of the youtube URL you need is the bit after the = sign, like using the url in the OP you would only need the 'SGOqPzv7WMA'

I modified it today slightly so that the full-screen button should work again (might not have been for some people).
I actually added back being able to put whole Youtube links in the old tags a while ago, so that old videos would work again, but I didn't post I'd done it :hee:. Anyway the method is explained in the first post in this thread, which has been updated. By the way, the first video to be embedded - with forum codes - on this forum is the one in the original post. |
This doesn't work! :(

ESCargy do it like this:
[YT]hLQl3WQQoQ0[/YT] or Edit: Also, the [YT][/YT] doesn't need to be in capitals so [yt][/yt] also works. |
