Who said it's been axed, they haven't planned another series, but definately hasn't been axed.

thankyou, that what i was saying, as second series has not been planned, but it odesn't say the show was axed, because there might be a second in the future.

The words 'confirmed the series is finished' kinda did it for me.

Emphasis on "Philip Edgar-Jones confirmed the series is finished"

If it was that popular why would they wait for a 2nd series?

The reason why it has not officialy been termed 'axed' is because it was only ever signed up for one series , which it completed - and their wont be a second one because the first one was not the runaway success endemol expected.
