I got the 9:24 train from Newcastle, got to Manchester at 11:50. Met my friend and he had a hot chocolate waiting for me. After a little walk around we got a taxi to the Granada ITV studios for about 12:30. There was a little bit of a line there, but not much... It was lovely and sunny and we had an hour and a half to waste. We ended up chatting to this big group of scouse girls who kept us entertained for a while.
When we were still in the line we saw a big crowd of people running towards something, when I looked there was paparazzi and loads of fans - turned out I was right next to the Coronation Street set and there was a few of the actors/actresses coming out (Anthony Cotton + .... someone, I forget her name - Billy knows who I mean!).
It got to 2pm and we were allowed in, but it was really slow moving cos each person had to have their bag checked (as in, everything taken out, scanned, put back in), then we had to be frisked THEN we had to have a metal detector thing across us. We were then all bundled into a waiting room where we were told a few rules, goaded into being hyper and active, and were told the topics that were going to be discussed.
After a while we were led into the studio, me and my friend were first in line and were put nearish the back, with aisle seats (YEY!!). The studio was SO MUCH smaller than you see on telly, and there's so many more cameras than you can imagine. A woman came on stage and was asking loads of questions and keeping us entertained (She thought I was drunk cos I was hyper and cheering  haha). THEN! My big moment, she asked for 2 volunteers, instantly I put my hand up - and she chose me saying "That drunk one up there!" YES! I'm gonna be famous. I got down onto the stage, with another volunteer and sat in the JK seats. The cameras were rolling, the mics were turned on... my big moment. (Btw, this wasn't being shown on the actual programme, it was just testing the cameras, microphones, and getting blooper footage). I had to pretend to be a "usual" JK guest... it turned out that I was cheating on my husband 10 times whilst pregnant with quadruplets btw... was so nerve-wracking though, in front of all those people on the JK stage... and Jeremy Kyle himself was standing in the wings watching, woo exciting!
He then came on stage, did a few props to cameras etc, then had a joke on with the audience for a good 30 mins, he's really nice in real life!!
Then the show started. We were told when to clap, but could boo whenever we wanted (believe me, I booed a lot!). The first story was a paternity test result!! To see if this woman's dad was her real dad, was really sad cos the old man started crying  I managed to keep my tears in though, thankfully! The second was a DNA test result (SCORE! Paternity test AND DNA test, in ONE show, oooh yes!). This one was SOO FUNNY! The woman is an absolute slag, like you'll never believe! The third was a story about a gay druggy son, it was sad!
Anyway, a good time was had by all. And a pic of the day:

(That was outside the studios, I wasn't allowed a camera/phone inside ).
Sorry about the long post, I had so many things to include, haha.
