Demonoid is a bit too public for my liking. I'm even further underground than it.

The authorities know about Demonoid existing, so it could be shut down or raided anyday.

Yes, if you're downloading something you usually have to pay for, or thats owned by someone else.
This includes tv programmes, films, music, applications, e-books...

Z 13-08-2007 04:12 PM

Demonoid's well risky. (my two cents.)

No? Okay then!

But yeah, you're right. The RIAA and MPAA know it exists.

Sarah. 13-08-2007 04:20 PM

There are tons of other good torrent sites

Billy 13-08-2007 04:21 PM

This one is also very dangerous. It's a very public tracker that the authorities are also monitoring.

Billy 13-08-2007 04:24 PM

what ones arent dangerous lmao

Lauren 13-08-2007 04:32 PM

Well they're all illegal, so none of them are safe

But if you insist on being a little rebel, go for private invite-only based communities. They're hard to find.

Billy 13-08-2007 04:34 PM

Lmao kk

Stu 13-08-2007 04:35 PM

I go for mininova myself . Theirs no way im paying for something when I can get it for free .

Sarah. 13-08-2007 04:36 PM

I only download Lost once a week from torrentspy, the pirate bay or mininova.

Mark 13-08-2007 04:39 PM

I use a site that's free if you keep a 0.5+ ratio of sharing. Im currently downloading all 14 seasons of US survivor, so I'm going to have to pay the site to give me more download ratio, or I'll get kicked off :)

I get insane speeds from it (400kb/sec) so I don't mind paying.

I only ever download music, and I'm on one of the best music torrent sites out there (anyone guess? It's quite well known but secretive).

Stu 13-08-2007 04:41 PM

I never understand any of that raito sharing thing. Maybe thats why everything I download is uberslow.

Are my supposed to leave stuff thats finished downloading in uTorrent so others can download it from my computer , hence increasing my ratio?!

Yeah, when you leave it open in uTorrent (or whatever client you use), it means when other people download it, they're getting caches of data from you (i.e. you're seeding(uploading) data to them). The more you upload back, the higher ratio. A lot of private-based torrent sites require a 1.0 ratio or higher to keep your account (which means you have to upload the same amount that you downloaded).

Cheers for that .

Legend 13-08-2007 06:01 PM

You can't seed and watch at the same time though can you?

And I use mininova, I use isohunt now and again but mainly mininova. I thought it was all legal.
