Scariest film Ever!!

What do you think is the scariest film ever? I don't really get scared of films now but when I was a wee child of 4, American Werewolf in London scared the beejesus out of me and I never watched it again.

I never get "scared" when I watch films now but when I was 11, I watched the Blair Witch Project and towards the end it was quite scary.

i used to be scared of the film scream :blush2::tongue: but now i think the grudge is pretty scary, its more creepy then scary.

The Grudge
I cant take Scream seriously anymore, without thinking of Doofey and the Vacuum

dupin 17-08-2007 12:30 PM

I don't get scared by films. I found the Scream series hilarious, and The Ring incredibly boring...

Callum 17-08-2007 12:33 PM

Nightmare on Elm Street was scary for me! But, I find the Scary Movies funny NOT scary..

I urge ANYONE to watch this film. It goes beyond scary, into a complete mind-messer-upperer. It's not just scary as in "ooh I got a shock" or "ooh I'm on the edge of my seat covering my eyes", it's genuinely a "I'm close to tears and want to turn this film off" kinda scary.

Everyone, watch vacancy. It messes with your head.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

MarkWaldorf 18-08-2007 10:24 AM

I never found The Grudge scary, everyone was saying it's one of the scariest films ever, but I didn't see how. lol

stacey 18-08-2007 09:00 PM

not sure what film i've found the scariest but i don't like scary films

Samandafan 05-09-2007 06:27 PM

I thought the others with nicole kidman was scarey lol I'm such a wimp lol

gracie24 05-09-2007 06:35 PM

The film 'The Others' is more of a psychological thriller than anything and those are the types of film I would prefer. The ones that make you think.

'The Haunting' used to scare me, especially the part where her face changes in the mirror. I have a thing with mirrors....

Also the only film that's ever made me scream out loud is Amytiville Horror, that was just at one point in the film. It's a mint film though.

The Truman show isn't scary in the sense of like horror scary, but it's the film that's like scarred me for life. It completely got to me. I'm so strange!! lol

Hated that movie.

or maybe the reason why I wasn't into it was because I watched it at 5 AM at a friend's house and was half asleep.

I found Saw pretty scary when I first watched it. "The Thing" was the only movie to give me nightmares.

Mrluvaluva 24-09-2007 08:56 AM

This was a scary creature in the film.

gracie24 24-09-2007 07:17 PM

That looks awful!
I want to watch Disturbia, don't know whether it is actually scary or not though.

Also the new Angelina Jolie move is supposed to be an intelligent thriller which are my favourite type of scary movie :D

I forget it's title but I remember in the 1980's there was one of these safety information training films that had to be withdrawn, because the special effects of industrial accidents were so graphic, people fainted.

It is in the book, The Heroic Book of Failures as the least successful Safety Training film

That scared me so so much as a kid, also the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

I watched it again a few years back, and it didnt scare me too much... more like made me slightly sick at when the family were shouting "hit her grandpa"

I dont scare very easily now

Sam! 25-09-2007 03:32 PM
