Paris Hilton for Celeberity Big Brother 2008?
 

According to a recent article, after being released from her cushy lock-up, Paris Hilton was approached by the producers of the UK Celebrity Big Brother show to make an appearance as a Housemate next season. Sources say that Paris is a favourite candidate for the show producers.

Paris Hilton Perhaps this will be an opportunity to make good on her courtroom promises of repentance, seeing as proceeds from the show are donated to charity. Could this publicity stunt also help to further her already notable fame in the UK? Seeing as her grandfather has recently retracted her 60 million(USD) inheritance after her most recent public humiliation was simply too much for the tycoon to bear, maybe she can earn some back by selling her Reality TV celebrity persona internationally.

A Channel 4 insider recently revealed:

"Paris is really keen to do the show because she wants to show people the real her.

"She wants to show the British public that there is more to her life than shopping and partying and she would certainly make an interesting housemate.

"It all depends on whether or not we can afford her."

Wow. Imagine Paris Hilton in the UK big brother house. The self proclaimed Reality princess is well known for her appearances along side Nicole Richie in "The Simple Life", but this polished and well rehearsed American take on Reality TV is in a completely different realm to what Paris may experience in the British Big Brother House. Being denied luxuries such as make-up and caviar may be too much to bear for the Prima donna and will indeed be a coarse learning experience for her, which will make spectacular television.

So until early 2008 we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed and hope that this hot hotel-heiress considers Channel 4's offers. If you considered the last Celebrity Big Brother explosively controversial, expect more sparks to fly in 2008 if Ms. Hilton makes an appearance at Elstree.

I think it would be good for Celebrity Big Brother if Paris got shoved in the house. From one prison to another prison [so to speak]

I was thinking January is about the time Nicole is due and I doubt Paris would go into BB when her best friend was about to give birth.

I think that Paris needs something to boost her popularity back again and Celebrity Big Brother can do wonders for that, or the opposite? It is a shorter show, so the timing for her friend having a baby may fit right? Anyway, it is only an article in a newspaper, so I shall wait and see
