Ghosts? Beleive in them or not?

I personally DO beleive in ghosts, and i would like to see - my mum has seen one - and im sure i have too but, if i was to see one for real - i would pass it off and say to myself that it was my brain playing tricks on me or im imagining it - i wouldnt beleive a saw a ghost if i did see one

What does everyone else think?

Do you believe in them or not?

Tell us of your "ghostly" experiences!!!!

Well im not gonna say i dont believe in them cos then i think im sort of tempting fate and im gonna get haunted. i have never seen a ghost or had a ghostly experience but friends of mine have.

so i dont not believe in them but i have never experienced anything to make me believe 100% they are real. i would like to believe there is life after death but weather its in the form of a ghost i dont know.

SiMoN! 06-09-2007 11:24 AM

i dont belive in them at all - it all aload of crap
people who say they have seen 1 are jus attention seeking or just think they have

Benji 09-09-2007 04:13 PM

lol, ok

Im unsure too - i would love to see one, maybe i have seen one, but i would think it was because i was cold or it was the light

I used to walk up the stairs at night, and when I walked up them normally/made a noise, a deep laugh would emerge from my parents room.

My parents explained that it was the old man who lived nextdoor...
Two years later he died, and the laughing continued.
Nobody could offer any explanation as to what it was.

Also, throughout my life, sometimes something comes over me when im in my bed trying to get to sleep, and paralyzes me with fear. I don't know what it is, but it feels awful and stops me from moving, and makes me feel something besides just fear. Ive had it since I was a child and still don't know what it is, but it tends not to happen that much anymore.

It happened to me this week, the first time in years.

Ive never seen a ghost, though ive had friends genuinely tell me stories about how they have.

Personally, I don't believe in ghosts existing on a different "plane" and having the choice to reveal themselves only during night time hours.
But I still don't know what was going on with my above two experiences.

I told my gran, when she dies, only visit me during daylight hours

I don't only beleive. I saw. In my first year at High school. (2 yrs ago) I was on a resedential at the Ulster Folk and Traseport museum (. It's a reconstruction of a victorian town using real buildings that have ben moved from their origional foundations. Theres also a big transport museum there, but it was built in the 80's. The rconstruction town is known for being hunted). I was actually sleeping with 7 other people in an old victorian house.

I woke up, it was about 5.30 am, the sky was starting to get a dark blue, rather than black.

I glanced over to the lockers at the other side of the room. Something strange was there. It saw me and began to walk towards me. I shouted to one of my friends and they woke up, just as the ghost was about half a meter away from my bed. He turned on the lights (the switch was beside his bed) and it vanished. I began to shake badly. Another person had saw and began taking a panic attack. Two others woke up and we sat with the lights on until everyone else woke that morning. It was the scariest experience ever, but my emotions were weird and undescribable when I saw the ghost.

Quite alot of people I konw have saw/sensed ghosts
presences before.

If anyone is interested, I'll post the website of the museum to read about happenings.

I believe in ghosts/spirits.

A few weeks ago my sister arranged for a Physic to come around to our house for a reading, but when the Physic arrived she said she didn't feel comfortable doing a reading in out house because it was 'spiritually active'.

Benji 16-09-2007 01:00 PM

Ooooooo scary!!!

So what is going to be done next to get rid of them?

Conor 16-09-2007 01:54 PM

I watch Most Haunted for the storylines. (as it is not real, a camera man admitted it)

Benji 16-09-2007 01:55 PM

its to scary for me to watch, is it really fake?

Bells 16-09-2007 02:12 PM

I’ve never had any ghostly experiences, but I believe in spirits. I just don’t think they roam around in our world and come into contact with humans, although, who knows – maybe they do if absolutely necessary.

In terms of coming into contact with loved ones who passed away, I don’t think you’re actually seeing but are probably grieving so badly you feel as if you do, which is a possibility. Younger children with innocent minds sometimes say they see someone who’s passed away (I’ve heard it on more than one occasion), which may well mean they’re more susceptible to it? But in our case, it’s one thing seeing them in dreams but quite another claiming you actually saw them.

Benji 16-09-2007 02:14 PM

im unsure like everybody else what "it" is. But i do beleive that it could be psychological, maybe thats why only a few people see them.

Conor 16-09-2007 03:00 PM

Yeah, most things are set up, apart from 1 or 2 unexplained events. A sacked camera-man addnmitted.

supernoodles! 16-09-2007 03:03 PM

I believe in them i dont see how you can just die and that its

Kate.. 16-09-2007 06:54 PM

once me and my friends were hanging around school and then all these weird things started happening!! it was really freaky

the toilet doors kept locking and unlocking themselves.... with no one in there obviously lol

there was something about a tree stump disapearing lol

then acouple of my friends said they saw a ghost bob past the window but i'm not sure if thats true lol

so we all got in a circle, held hands and said if there really are ghosts out there give us a sign a sign a sign

lol this sounds mad

anyway one of my friends bags was open when we opened our eyes and all her money had fallen out of her closed purse...

Callum 16-09-2007 06:57 PM

Sounds freaky Kate. I once saw a lady ghost in my bedroom, in the middle of the night, she was standing right by my bedroom window.. It was really scary!
