The Mission.........
I am going to set myself a mission.
To try and get to 5000 posts by Big Brother 9. i am know on my 2013th post! - only 2987 to go! So not many more to go! - i will post here every few days to check on how many posts i have done, and each week i will give an average of how many posts in a week. Wish me good luck! Ben |
Don't go posting like a nutter just to reach 5000 though, post count means jack so I really wouldn't worry.

im on the same mission this is my 1416th post so ive got 3584 posts to but im not going to post more then usual im just going to go along as usual!

It's okay going for a high post count, but please make sure all your posts are worth while. Pointless posts could get removed. There have been a lot of these on the site lately and it is effecting the quality of the site especially in the Big Brother section.
For example posts like "the housemate X is great" are meaningless and they don't promote good debate. They might as well have not been posted. If you need to say a house mate is great say why and give reasons that way people can answer you back and a discussion can take place. Of course during a discussion short posts will occur but these should be made in such away as move the discussion on. Also starting "Chat and Games" type threads in "General Chat" to increase post count is looked down on by the Moderators and the Admin team. These threads will be moved and could be deleted. The point of a forum is to have a discussion about opinions.
How can you do that if you faced with 101 posts saying housemate x is great and that is all. It's great to think that housemate x is great but people want to know why so we can talk about it. Without that information the place might as well close down. |

Good, it wasn't just aimed at you because you started this thread it was really a general observation on a lot of the posts recently. The thing is when you get these short replies all the time some really good threads just die. I'm sure you have noticed that with some of the ones you have started.
