Cleo Higgins from former girl group Cleopatra and J-Rock from Big Brovaz are on the long list for the ITV1 reality show.

Bosses will now whittle down the list of 30 and choose the final 12 who get to jet out to Australia next month.

An insider said: “Cleo has bags of personality and talks a lot – she would be a real laugh.

“If J-Rock gets picked too, we’d have a very soulful line-up!”

Cleo, 25, sang in the Manchester trio who made it big nine years ago with the album Comin’ Atcha.

J-Rock, 29, was one of the founding members of Big Brovaz.

Their biggest hit Nu Flow, which reached No3 in 2002.
