Do you trust the quality of the water which comes from our tap?
I love drinking water and also soft drinks. But when I have a drink of water I shall quite happily run the cold tap and pour it into a glass and drink it without thinking of the quality. We get told that it is 100% safe and I have to trust that as gospel - which I do. But there are many other people who are not so sure and prefer to buy bottled water from their local supermarket as they think it is a safer option. Our reserviors must be almost at overflow point with all the rain we've been having lately, well all year basically:laugh: So perhaps with the quantity of water in the reserviors, any impurities which exist will be more diluted with all that fresh rain water. They do add chemicals to make the water safe anyway, I guess that is a little worrying to? perhaps in time, we may learn that one or more of those chemicals added may actually be harmful to us in some way, we don't know yet, or do we? I am sure there will be some doubt about our drinking water from our taps mentioned somewhere on the web? I don't really want to think too much about it but I thought it was worth a debate.
I added a poll as well. |
Yes, Wales has the freshest water in the UK so I'm happy drinking it
I don't like English water, I was sick when I drunk it, maybe because I'm so used to the Welsh water. I dunno, yours seemed misty. |

Yes of course. We have a water cleaner in our building so it's ok.

I din't always trust it, my family just buys an 8 pack of 2 litre bottles whenever needed as our tap water tastes like bleach! But my Grandparents in Crete get water from Selenari lake for free because they live up in the mountains near it. It is supposed to be the best water in Greece, and infact 1 of the best in Europe! Just a few miles down, in Agious Nickholas, a bottle costs nearly 2 euro. (Thats alot compared to some 20 cent bottles also widley available)

i see no problem with tap water and im 100% its safe to drink as we would know by now if its was bad for us. i live in croydon and its fine here but when i go other places in the uk it can taste wierd sometimes, and this summer i went to Grece and there were signs everywhere warning people not to drink tap water so it varys
btw i voted yes! |
My tap water is usally fine, but sometimes it tastes really horrible and kind of soapy. I usually get bottled water though, because I'm well known for knocking cups over all the time xD
|
Yes I trust it. I can't be bothered worrying about that.
|
I'll drink it if I have to, but I don't normally drink it... sometimes for tea/hot chocolate, though.
|
tbh, i can tell bottled water from tap.
I love drinking water, and much prefer water than soft drinks. I dont care about the "what ifs" etc, about tap water. Im sure both Tap water and bottled water do have differences (you can almost taste the difference between the two) i also think that i am rambling on about nonsense. :) |
Well our old Cavemen freinds drunk from god-knows-what, never did them any harm, so why would we, who have evolved to live in any condition, not be able to drink tap water?
|
I quite like the tap water you get here, but maybe that's just a local thing.
|
Yeah i still drink it.
