Mr No Personality tops myspace friends list.

Well this story shows why Leon McRubbish is still in the the X Factor.

Quote:

MYSPACE REVEALS WHO HAS THE X FACTOR
LEON has won X Factor... according to MySpace. He's got the most mates on the social networking site. Lagging at the bottom of the table with the fewest pals is Beverley.

MySpace profiles give us the chance to see who is loved by the fans and who is a loner with no mates.

Having their profiles on the site means the contestants can keep the show's viewers up-to-date through their blogs. It is also an opportunity for fans to get in touch with their fav finalist.

The site, which shows how many people have added the contestant as a friend, gives the singers a feel for how popular they are with the public and could signify who this year's winner will be

Leon is proving to be the most popular singer with 1,213 friends, followed by Future Proof, who have 1,019 friends. Beverley loses in the popularity stakes with 463 friends and suprise second is Rhydian with just 463 friends.

Here is the complete list:

Alisha - 556 (number of friends)

Kimberley - 627

Emily - 954

Andy - 959

Niki - 669

Daniel - 749

Same Difference - 818

Hope - 1,053

Clearly it's the little girl factor and not his singer which we all know is rubbish in the main show that has kept him in.

LOL Mr No Personality is a funny nickname.
I'm Glad SD has got so many friends, good for them.

XxShortyxX 28-10-2007 12:43 PM

What a surprise, the 2 , most dull and boring people are 1st and 2nd. I can't stand Futureproof! It's the silly little girls that have made them 2nd of 1st, they may be good looking, but that's it! Because they are rubbish singers and performaces!

If either win, the show is a joke!

Because if he had any he would be a lot better on stage.

XxShortyxX 28-10-2007 12:51 PM

Leon has the personality of a goldfish.

He wont win anyway, look at his odds, the are slipping away.

XxShortyxX 28-10-2007 12:51 PM

That is an insult to goldfish.

Ruth*Star 28-10-2007 01:01 PM

It's just when he sings, he sounds flat, i mean he doesn't stand out.

That doesn't really mean anything, Leon has the support of teen girls/mums. He looks like he's seen a ghost on stage, it's cringe worthy.

I agree. He so nervous when he is on the stage it makes you want turn over and watch Strictly Come Dancing. If he wins they will have to rename the show Turn off Factor.

Yep, I agree. He looks like a robot. Simon was spot on with what he said.

He proved last night he can actually sing but he's got zero stage presence.

Yes by the end of the song.

The beginning of the song was rubbish. He was so consumed by his own nerves that he could give the song any power and you just felt like he should stayed in the wings. It was horrible to watch. Lucky they don't shot X factor contestants like they do horses to put them out of their misery because he would have got the bullet last night for sure. As it is because he has the little girl factor we have to watch the same thing all over again next week.

Oh yea he can sing, however he has no stage presence, and zero personality, and he isn't the best singer, he shouldn't just win X Factor because he is good looking, like some people out there seem to think.

Spike 28-10-2007 01:20 PM

No confidence, no star quality, no Stage Presence, the only thing that is keeping in him is the stupid teenage girls voting on looks.

It's right what Simon said last week he has taken the place of someone else.

I agree with that too:bigsmile:

SD are so cheesy, but, cute, have stage presence nd never get nerouvs, well if they do they don't show it. Niki, Hope, SD and Beve are the best singers.

For sure he shouldn't win.Especially when you've got the likes of Rhydian who can sang great and put on a real performance.

I don't think that tells us anything. You've got to bear in mind how many X Factor viewers actually use Myspace, who in particular would add X Factor contestants etc. - I wouldn't say it's a huge reflection of fanbases as a whole. Having said that, Leon does seem to have a pretty good fanbase... what's more, those who are fans of him are pretty loyal ones.

To be honest, I do think he picks up a lot of votes simply through his looks and his cute appeal, not to mention picking up more votes from Scottish viewers. However, I do think he has a pretty decent voice. His main problem is that he does come across as quite afraid and shaky on stage, which despite his efforts still come across pretty strongly.

I think he has a personality, but the actual charisma and vibe of being a star isn't there, sadly. I'm sure many XF hopefuls who didn't get through to the live shows would have had the complete package - that is, the X Factor, which Leon unfortunately doesn't seem to have yet. I say 'yet' because it is possible for him to work on it, but I do feel it's something that comes from within and with a bit more confidence.

Retroman 28-10-2007 02:45 PM

I have more myspace friends than all of them put together...
And a mediocre singing talent.
So by all rights I should audition next year and probably win =] lol.

I think if Leon made it further into the competition, it'll increase his chances of being in the bottom two. If and when he does, the judges will most likely vote him out at that point. So hopefully the British public won't have a major say in his stay at the X Factor.

Bells 28-10-2007 02:51 PM

^ I'm thinking some separate fan pages were created for them, instead of their actual Myspace pages. So it's more based on how many fans you've got, rather than actual friends or randomers.

EDIT: I realise you were joking though!

I agree with the Scottish point. Last year the McDonald Brothers only survived on their support through phone, text voting 'apparently'.
