Help! My hair turned pink!!

Ahhhh!!! I dyed my hair black and it turned pink! It has like a purply pinky tint to it!
What do I do?!
I cant have pink hair!!

Mrluvaluva 29-10-2007 12:59 PM

LMAO. You could start a new trend!

Retroman 29-10-2007 01:01 PM

Do you mean you dyed it black, but there's a tint of pink within it? Eg. If you're in the light, it shines pink?

If so, I think a lot of people would probably like it lol.
If it's full on blatant pink then perhaps not.

Dye it again but with a different hair dye? Or perhaps at the hairdressers?
Should sort things out =]

Sam 29-10-2007 01:11 PM

Shave it all off.

or

Dye it again?

 Funny story though.

Noel 29-10-2007 02:02 PM

Its not funny!
The box said "Pitch Black" !!
And it is black but when the light shines on its like pink and purple!
I dont want pink and purple!
I want black!!

Most black hair dyes do have a 'tint' to them, its either purple/pink or purple/blue

What colour is your hair normally?

~Kizwiz~ 29-10-2007 02:21 PM

what make was the produce?

Noel 29-10-2007 02:26 PM

I have brown hair.
And the make was "Stargazer" ??? lol.
But I cant get another dye in case they like react and like turn my hair green or something. lol.

n.l.o7 29-10-2007 02:28 PM

omg i could live with pink hair lol!!! carnt you dyed it again?? i dont know???

Noel 29-10-2007 02:29 PM

They will react I think, plus my mum says im not allowed to dye my hair again, for obvious reasons. lol.

~Kizwiz~ 29-10-2007 02:29 PM

Stargazer???

Ok.....got the site..... was it semi or permanent?

~Kizwiz~ 29-10-2007 02:33 PM

I'm guessing you used pitch black semi permanent???

On the site is says that this product will give "vibrant translucent colours" which will allow light to pass through and as such you would never get a block black colour

Noel 29-10-2007 02:34 PM

Omg really?!
Eek. lol.
Thanx for that!

~Kizwiz~ 29-10-2007 02:36 PM

Good thing is thats is washes out... I'm just having a look for the best product to help

~Kizwiz~ 29-10-2007 02:40 PM

All the site I visited say not to dye it again unless you want to damage your hair.

Either.... wash wash wash and wash again

Or shave it off.

Noel 29-10-2007 03:08 PM

Washing it is =D

Arneldo 29-10-2007 03:10 PM

Awww, I'd love that. I dyed my hair bright red a few years ago and I loved it. When I went back to school I had to dye my hair back to brown but the red & brown mixed and I went ginger. For months I was called AG, artificially ginger.

Noel 29-10-2007 03:12 PM

Lol!
My friends last year, tried to dye their hair dark brown but they had bleached streaks in already and they reacted and their hair turned green. It was permanent so it lasted a few months. They havent really lived it down since. lol.

Everyone I know has bad problems with dying hair.

I dyed my hair 'mystic violet', aka, Bright Purple, Saturday night, and it's come out perfectlyyyy

=D

I asked my daughter what you should do - she is a hairdresser

She says that Black is the hardest color to get right and you must have gotten one that has warmth in it hence the redish / pink tint.

The best she can suggest is to buy a blue black which might wipe out the pink, or get another dark brown dye and put it on, make sure it is a matt colour and it should neutralise the warmth.

Noel 29-10-2007 03:43 PM

Omg thanx!
Go Sunny_01's daughter! =D

Captain.Remy 29-10-2007 03:59 PM

Well.....pink ! If you want to keep it like that then change yout clothes and everything. Or you can dye it again....
