Is this the sickest video ever?

Is this the sickest video ever?

Simian Mobile Disco look to have carved themselves out a new level of indie infamy with the video for their new single 'Hustler'.

The clip is inspired by controversial videos like the The Prodigy's 'Smack My Bitch Up' and Aphex Twin's 'Windowlicker', and sends up glamour girl culture with girls in bikinis who mutate into something altogether different.

It is kinda sick

Mrluvaluva 30-10-2007 10:06 PM

I know it is controversial, but it does have meaning.

\PJ/ 30-10-2007 10:08 PM

Imagine what victoria beckham would look like doing that.:eureka:

Scarlett. 30-10-2007 10:08 PM

Very true, it was the ending that was kinda sick

Shaun 30-10-2007 11:16 PM

...interesting

Mrluvaluva 31-10-2007 08:45 AM

Well it's intention obviously is to shock. I wonder if any music channels will ban it?

Captain.Remy 31-10-2007 08:49 AM

I love the song and the video. Of course it's quite shocking but Simian hadn't do that for nothing, they want to give a message. That's controversial it's sure.

Sam 31-10-2007 08:49 AM

Thats groes, and its a rubbish song, the video makes the song more interesting.

It's maybe because you don't like that type of music but overall I always like Simian, he made such good songs and great videos.

Mrluvaluva 31-10-2007 08:56 AM

I love the song. Aphex Twins' "Windowlicker" is also a great song and video. "goes to find it"

Yeah, maybe so, but I dont think it will be a huge hit, and imo, if it is, its because of the controversy of the video

Mrluvaluva 31-10-2007 09:02 AM

Here it is. "Windowlicker"

Electro/Dance/Techno music have never such big success except in nightclubs or for some TV shows producers. The only ones who had some big successes are Daft Punk and Justice. It's not comparablr to a pop singer.

GiRTh 31-10-2007 09:07 AM

Disgusting.:yuk:

The Windowlicker vid is ok though.

Mrluvaluva 31-10-2007 09:09 AM

Aphex twin - "Come to daddy"

Mrluvaluva 31-10-2007 12:47 PM

The last one is a bit scary!

Dr43%er 31-10-2007 04:28 PM

The SMD album is really good. here is another track of it.

The Aphex Twin ones were done by Chris Cunningham.

He is one of the best directors out there. Here is some more stuff by him.

When you first see it you won't think it'll be sick, but near the end it's a bit sick!

Mrluvaluva 31-10-2007 08:16 PM

Makes you think?

Dr43%er 31-10-2007 11:07 PM

Does it?

Mrluvaluva 01-11-2007 10:00 AM

Well it has a message.
