Cerys Matthews might be getting a horrible shock
Lovesick Cerys Matthews is still stuck in the I'm A Celeb camp dreaming of a romantic reunion with Marc Bannerman.

But while she chomps on fried possum, 34-year-old Marc has reportedly agreed a £50,000 deal with a tabloid newspaper.

The ex-EastEnder, who has kept a very low profile since returning to the UK, is said to be ready to spill the beans on his love triangle with Cerys and ex-girlfriend Sarah Matravers.

In a love letter to the Catatonia singer, 38, Marc said he'd return Down Under to meet her, but then had a change of heart.

'We told Marc we'll sort out the flights and pay for everything,' a show insider told The Sun. 'But he doesn't want to do it – despite what he promised Cerys.'

The actor then agreed to record a video message for his blonde camp-mate, but even that is now thought to be threatened by the terms of the reported deal.

She was really dissappointed last night when mark didnt turn up.

You could see how gutted she was when she found out that Marc wasnt there. Her bubbliness disappeared

She looked so upset last night when he wasn't there. Why send her a letter saying he will be there when she comes out, and then not be there? That's not nice.

supernoodles! 30-11-2007 12:54 PM

awww i know,i felt sorry for her

Ah but he didnt actually say that he would be there, he said he 'may well be there'. But it did give Cerys the impression that he would be there.

And if its true that the video message he sent (so lame) wasnt shown because its going to ruin his deal made with a newspaper then thats disgusting iMO

He's given up a two year girlfriend who he was living with, and another woman who he admitted to being in love with...

For a tabloid newspaper deal?

That's highly illogical, and to me suggests he didn't really feel much for either of them. Sarah perhaps was just conveniance for him, helped pay the bills, did his washing/ironing, occasional sex etc.

Cerys helped draw more attention to him and earn him more fame/money when he left.

That's the way I think he's looking at it.

Plus he did say he'll be there for Cerys if she wishes, to which she announced she does wish him to come in the video diary hut...or whatever it's actually called.

So he did essentially lie.

Hit the nail on the head there Retroman.

He has shown that he is not really interested in anyone other than himself and how he feels about things.

Glad you agree Sunny...

I didn't actually get to see Cerys leave, so I didn't get to see her reaction to him not being there. But judging by what people have said, she was quite upset.

I think she had genuine feelings for him, so it's a shame he's let her down already.

Funny thing is, I do expect him to be "explaining" himself and why he wasn't there to her at some point, and trying to patch things up and maybe even start a relationship. But I don't think he'll be doing it for the right reasons.

Couldnt agree with you more.

Marc is clearly out to get what he can. Self centered and conceited. But it seems that Cerys may have real feelings for him..... god help her if she does thats all I can say

Cerys was very nearly close to tears wen she was told about Marc not being there...
I think thats one of the only reasons she was so hapyyy....
