I'm a Celebrity ... Biggins is crowned king of the jungle after three
Camp panto star Christopher Biggins was crowned King of the jungle after defeating the self-styled first ever supermodel Janice Dickinson.

The former Porridge star wept as he was told he was the public's favourite figure from I'm a Celebrity.

Former contestants were reunited as the vote was announced in the jungle.

Speaking to Ant and Dec afterwards, Janice said: "I'm so honoured to make that guy Biggins my King - Queen - of the jungle."

Ex-boyband heart-throb "J" Brown was voted into third place after almost three weeks in the jungle.

"I've had an absolute blast of a time. l loved it, I loved being outdoors," he told Ant and Dec afterwards.

"It's been an absolute blast."

He added: "I wanted to have a go at some madness and I did."

"J" said he wanted Biggins to triumph ove Janice in the final vote.

Earlier, Janice overcame won five stars in her final Bushtucker Trial - despite being bitten by a rat.

Medics were called to the I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! camp after she was attacked on her hand by the rodent.

The self-proclaimed "world's first supermodel" was sleeping peacefully in the early hours when she suddenly leapt up looking petrified.

At first Dickinson, 52, thought that she had been bitten by a snake.

Cerys Matthews, 38, who was stoking the camp fire, exclaimed: "Flipping heck Janice, that's nasty."

Looking at the two bite marks on her hand, Dickinson told the others: "Do you know what, I want to get out of here, I've had it."

Matthews attended to Dickinson's hand while a medic was called to look at her. The loudmouthed US star said later that she had felt a sharp pain while dreaming.

She said: "It bit me right to the bone. I could feel it go chomp. "The blood was coming out, I think I need a rabies shot. It was going for the *********g food."

Later, Dickinson won five stars in her final Bushtucker Trial and overcame her fear of cockroaches.

As a box of mealworms was dropped on her left arm, she shouted: "Oh my god, this is so *********g gross, they are fornicating. I don't want them crawling up me!" She shouted to Ant and Dec: "They are going up my pants".

The next box was a huge mass of slime which was thrown on her torso. When Ant asked her if it smelled, Dickinson replied: "Does it smell?"

"I had two babies. 'Do you think placenta smells you j**k off'."

As Ant and Dec collapsed in fits of laughter, Dickinson was told green ants were about to be poured on her right leg.

She responded by falling silent and sticking up her middle finger.

Dec told her that there were two yabbies around her head. "Why don't you just shut up," she told him. "I'm going to yabbie you after this, d**head".

Ant announced that the last box contained cockroaches.

Dickinson then lay crying and whining as the crawling cockroaches were poured over her.

As she was released from the handcuff and mopped down by medic Bob, she sobbed: "I'm traumatised."

Christopher Biggins was given the Bushtucker Bonanza on his final trial.

He was asked to eat witchetty grub, a crocodile's foot, three cockroaches, a kangaroo penis, and the final dish - kangaroo testicles.

He joked while eating the penis: "I'm really a breast man".

At the sight of the last dish, he cried: "Aaaaarrrgh, it's revolting."

Throwing it into his mouth, he stood up sharply and chewed away.

"Has it popped yet?" asked Ant.

As Biggins nodded and kept chewing, Dec wondered: "Has it exploded?"

"J" managed to win four out of five stars after he was put in a rapidly filling tank complete with baby crocodiles, eels, and water spiders.

I’M GONNA BE A BIGG STAR!

The Daily mail have been fast with the stories all series. Their method is to get the basic facts and transcripts out fast and then tidy them up later if they need it. Here is the Star's take on the same story written at a more leisurely pace.

I’M GONNA BE A BIGG STAR!
PANTO dame Christopher Biggins was last night crowned King – and Queen – Of The Jungle after winning telly’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!

The roly-poly actor can expect a million-pound payday after taking the crown ahead of pop hunk Jason “J” Brown, 31, and ex-model model Janice Dickinson, 52.

His jokes, outrageous antics and shock confessions immediately won over his fellow celebs and viewers – even though he arrived in camp five days after his rivals.

As he supped a glass of bubbly, Biggins said: “I’m thrilled and amazed.”

And the 58-year-old gay star added: “This will boost my career and get other parts for me.”

And he even joked about doing some modelling for M&S like last year’s jungle queen Myleene Klass, 29.

“I buy my underwear from Marks,” he cackled. “I should be the new model for the older, larger man!”

Biggins quickly won over his fellow celebs with his down-to-earth personality and cheeky quips.

But he said winning seven meals in a Bushtucker Trial before he even set foot in camp also helped.

“I thought I would be walking straight into camp. I didn’t realise I was going to go into a trial, which I think was fantastic though.

“It was a really good way to come in. Because I was the last in I felt there might be some bad feeling with the fellow contestants so it’s lovely that I was able to walk in having won seven meals.”

But Biggins was a hit as soon as he entered camp and greeted 52-year-old Janice with the words: “And who are you?” Within hours he had managed to divide the camp up into two groups – “oldies” and “babies.”

And despite being “married” to his partner of 21 years Neil Sinclair, 44, he also won a reputation for groping the girls’ boobs.

“There was such a wonderful array of bosoms on display,” he said. “I love breasts and I just had to see how they all compared.

“It was naughty but nice – I guess I could get away with it because they felt safe.

The outrageous star also quizzed soap babe Gemma Atkinson, 23, about her naked screen roles and whether she did “tongues” in the kissing scenes.

And he even managed to get Katie Hopkins, 32, to confess that she wants to have a boob job so she could get “knockers like Janice.”

“I do have a reputation for asking people the most outrageous things,” he admitted. “But if you don’t ask, you don’t find out.”

But it wasn’t just the girls who grabbed his attention – he also confessed to having a crush on Marc Bannerman, 34.

The cheeky star admitted he had got a thrill when the former EastEnders actor helped him wash at the creek after one gruesome trial.

“I was covered in bug slime, maggots and cockroaches,” said Biggins. “But Marc took me to the creek. I couldn’t wait to get in.

“It was cold but Marc helped me. He is adorable, gorgeous.” Air steward Neil said his fella had deserved his win – and revealed that a string of celebrity pals had already been on the phone to congratulate him.

“It’s brilliant that Christopher has won,” he said. “Cilla (Black), Elaine (Paige) and Lynda (Bellingham) have all sent messages.

“He’s shown what a national treasure he is ... he’d love to be the next Michael Parkinson, that would be fantastic.”

Yet just three weeks ago Oldham-born Biggins feared that his career was on the rocks.

Having starred alongside Ronnie Barker in Porridge and appeared with great mate Cilla in the 1980s in Surprise Surprise, he admitted that his speciality panto offers were now drying up.

But ITV1 executives have already offered the champ a £500,000 deal to front new show Star Traders.

“It’s astonishing,” said Biggins. “I just can’t believe it.”
