I haven't noticed anyone saying they are 'regularly out of tune'. I just think their later performances haven't been as strong as their first few, even if that does strike some people as odd. But they've shown they have potential, and I can see them doing well as a group in the future too.

I was generalising. Off the top of my head, I'm thinking sunshine30 with his "they are talentless" comments - this is clearly not true if they made it to the live stages and "they only show their bodies off" - well if everyone else is using sob stories to earn votes, surely it's only fair for them to use whatever they have going for them to gain extra votes? Sex sells, quite frankly.
Note to Remy, I'm not picking on you, it was just the first thing to spring to my mind! :)
I'm still a bit annoyed they were voted off, a high percentage of X Factor viewers are young girls who are keeping Same Difference and Leon in. When those young girls grow up, they're going to look to people like Hope for role models/style icons, if you see what I mean. Nothing can be done about it now - they had the least number of votes and were voted off fair and square, I just don't think they deserved to go.
I think the problems for Hope started when they had Phoebe singing lead vocals three weeks running and the other girls doing nothing. The damage was done when the public started picking up on "Phoebe, you're carrying the whole band" comments.
