Rhydian unbeatable?
X Factor's Rhydian Roberts looks unbeatable as the talent show draws to its closing stages.
The 24-year-old, from Powys, Wales, who wowed the judges and millions of viewers on Saturday's live show, has fought off competition in the betting from fellow Under 25 Leon Jackson. Ladbrokes spokesman Nick Weinberg said: "Leon is Rhydian's closest rival and even he's well off the pace. He looked set to challenge the favourite following Saturday night's show. But punters have only been interested in the Welshman since the weekend." Rhydian is on odds of 4/11 to take the £1 million recording deal. Nick added: "Rhydian looks set to win the series and inevitably bag Christmas No 1 in the process." Meanwhile, 18-year-old Leon is in second place on 4/1 while the last remaining Over 25, Niki, is third on 7/1. And brother and sister duo Same Difference look set to be booted off next week's semi-final show as they trail in the betting on 10/1. Source |
Yep Rydian to win. If Leon wins over Rydian it will be such a joke.
|
Ooo yeah he probably will win.
|
Yeah he should win. There's no one else really who has the same impact as him or would sell as much records. Niki has a good voice when singing ballads but I just can't see what market she would appeal to, she'd probably fade away quick like that Steve bloke. Same with Leon, singing his old fashioned music like Ray Quinn, you'd probably get a hit record out of him and that would be it.
Same Difference would probably be the second most successful, as they can sing and have a specific target audience, young kids and people who grew up liking Steps, S Club and that sort of stuff. But I don't see them winning, especially as the winners single is that Mariah Carey song! |
I dont want him to win sorry but he isnt the type of act to make it far in the charts
|
I hope he wins too. The show should be about talent and not about marketability IMO.

IMO its anybodyes game. I could honestly see any of those 4 win except maybe Niki
|
I dont think hes got it in the bag.I think he`ll be in the final for sure but win,im not so certain
|
I don't think he is certain to go and win, I think any of the reamining 4 could go on and win. A lot of people don't like Rhydian and will be voting for the other two contestants in the final but Rhydian will probably win.

If he keeps all his performances all up 2 scratch...
Then yes.. no doubt about it !! |
Yes
SADLY!!! he just wont sell records, his voice is NOT suited to the charts and he will get christmas number one then disappear |

To be honest, I don't think any of them will sell loads of records. Not like Leona and Shayne that's for sure. |
Rhydian will sell records. None of the others stand a chance.
|
Niki won't sell much, she will maybe get to mothers day and do an album of covers then vanish.
Rhydian will sell at first but he will go into decline and fade into the classical world. Leon could become a short term success, maybe a career spanning a year or 2 but will crash and burn spectacularly Gareth Gates style. Same Difference will sell at first, get onto a few Pop Party albums but then their initial fans will grow up and think "wtf", and then they will become a laughing stock. Only 2 of this years final 12 could actually have some sort of long term career- Alisha and Hope. They aren't the best vocally but Hope could go far because girl bands tend to do well, and Alisha could emulate the success of Corinne Bailey Rae and Gabrielle with her soft sounding voice. It shows that being outstanding vocally in the way of Rhydian and Niki doesn't necessarily equal a career. |
