Why can\'t people be nice?
 

I've noticed that things have been a little nasty on here lately and some members karma's are being lowered to -3 and things for what I believe to be silly reasons. Please start being nice and let's all be friends. Also there's been bullying on some threads which is horrible. :flowers:

And yeh people can be nasty in threads.

That's how it gos, karma can be either good or not. If people aren't happy with it, then they turn it off, as simply as that.

well you'd expect people to have different opinions on a forum, not everyone is going to agree. ah well.

(btw i'm not being nasty now, stating facts :laugh:)

I think there was a karma related thread recently wasn't there?

To do with not allowing negative karma or something along those lines.
But I can't be bothered typing out whatever I said again so...

I think the majority of things that go on are nice, the bad things just stand out more that's all. Most likely because they're less common than the nice things.

Anyhow, I understand the feeling behind "phantom karma reducers"

Mines been decreased twice recently, someone kindly put it back up though =]

Doesn't take long to work out who it is usually though.

i havent noticed any horrible things ging on here recently maybe ive been looking in the wrong threads and avoiding it

Because people decided to. You can't help that, I mean they have done it for some reasons.

Even a "Why can't people be nice" topic is turning out to be relatively not nice...

Maybe everyone on here has unaddressed issues they're not aware of >_<

It's to be expected in any community of people, even if it is an online community.

Some people don't like others for whatever reason, and their a certain heard mortality. Like follow the leader. I know there are some little groups of people and if somebody doesnt get on with people, it's them verses a group. They target or get revenge by reducing karma and/or just posting nasty/sarcastic comments.
