Rhydian wins The Sun vote
Rhydian wins The Sun vote WELSH warbler Rhydian Roberts has sensationally won The Sun poll following The X Factor voting row. We ran a phone and online vote yesterday for readers to choose between Rhydian and winner Leon Jackson after more than 2,000 furious fans bombarded telly watchdog Ofcom claiming the final was a fix. And in our survey Rhydian, 25, was the clear winner scooping 14,892 votes, while Leon, 18, only bagged 5,535 votes. ITV say Leon won by ten per cent of the vote and called it “fair and square”. Now I can reveal show boss Simon Cowell predicted a surprise winner hours before Leon was crowned X Factor king. While appearing on The Westlife Show: Live on Saturday night, Cowell — on a video link from The X Factor studios — said: “And tonight on the X Factor there may be an upset.” But despite everything Leon is storming his way to the Christmas No 1 spot. His debut single When You Believe, out yesterday, is on course to sell about 300,000 copies by Sunday — with stores in his native Scotland already sold out. Rhydian’s mum Angela, 56, wants an end to the uproar, saying: “We’re asking the nation to let it go and move on." The Sun |
Well why would Leon fans bother voting for him when he already won fairly, while bitter Rhydian fans will vote to prove a point.

There we go.
Rhydian won something. People can stop complaining now. |
Oh, I'm sure Leon's absolutely devastated at losing out on a trashy tabloid's poll, in spite of having a £1million recording deal under his belt...
|
Well Rhydian isn't winning in the selling records stakes. He is currently at 47 in the album download chart on iTunes while Leon is number 1.
