Doomsday 2012?

Anyone believe this?

I believe that something will happen to the earth - like pole shifts and such - but nothing too major.

Saying that, pole shifts could be a major thing depending how much the earth rotates when the other planets align.

The Aztec civilisation planned the end of the world that day so who knows....but nothing is gonna happen.

Matt 26-12-2007 05:15 PM

Xander 26-12-2007 06:30 PM

Ruth*Star 26-12-2007 06:33 PM

Our history teacher told us this. And she said they got everything else right! I don't know about the world ending but there has to be change eventually!

bananarama 30-12-2007 10:53 AM

2012 is the end of TV as we know it. (Digital change over completed). Not the end of the world unless you are an anologue supporter...

I kind of agree with spacebandit on this, although I do not use that fruitier language.

Predicting the end of the world is a precarious business, ask the JWs what happened to 1918, 1921, 1975 et al

I suppose the end of the world does make for some good music though

It is called precession, and one cycle lasts 25000 years. You can see the effect if you have a gyroscope
