Is this the new BB:CH Website address?

(Credit to Matt for tipping me off about this)

Matt was browsing the web and came across this website and thought maybe it was the new BB:CH website address. http://www.e4.com/bigbrother
This could be a likely address as it does not link up to any Error 404 pages.

Matt 28-12-2007 12:03 AM

Haha... there goes me and my overactive imagination again

The press pack states the official site URL as channel4.com/bigbrother, but I think it would be pretty stupid for them not to publicise the new e4.com as part of BB:CH...

Captain.Remy 28-12-2007 06:41 AM

It could be as it's on e4!! :spin2:

Xander 28-12-2007 08:27 AM

The thing is though it should really be on e4 as there the channel showing the program so it would make more sense, but i dont understand why it would be the channel 4 site?

andybigbro 28-12-2007 01:48 PM

I still think they will do it on Channel 4 site because there is a holding poage and up the top it says Coming soon

Harry! 28-12-2007 01:50 PM

Here is the answer:
http://www.channel4.com/bigbrother/

Arneldo 28-12-2007 01:57 PM

The website address http://www.e4.com/bigbrother was used for the BB8 online applications, which turned out to be a disaster.

Matt 28-12-2007 02:05 PM

You have to admit it is slightly stupid... why not use the E4 site for the E4 series?

They could still to something with e4.com/bigbrother regardless...

I don't even think that anyone who applied online even got into the house. I don't even think that the full E4 website was ready to host the online auditions properly.

just turn it into inernet compost.

Arneldo 28-12-2007 02:13 PM

I think they are staying with with channel4.com/bigbrother because it's the sire they have used for all BB series since BB1. It's the site fans are familiar with, and it makes more sense to keep it there.

Harry! 28-12-2007 02:15 PM

http://www.channel4.com/bigbrother/ has been used since Aug 17, 2000

For BBLB, which started on E4 during series 2.

Personally, I think the two sites will run in co-existence. The press pack states the official site's URL as http://www.channel4.com/bigbrother, but I think they will use http://www.e4.com/bigbrother too.

Arneldo 02-01-2008 01:06 PM

The official site is www.channel4.com/bigbrother, as it has been for years now - It also confirms this in the press pack.

On www.channel4.com/bigbrother there’s more video content than ever before, including video clips to share, plus faster bite-size news stories, celeb profiles, behind-the-scenes blogs, and the chance to vote online for what happens in the House. Plus the forums will again give viewers the chance to start discussions and debates within the Big Brother community.

Xander 02-01-2008 01:09 PM

They could just run two sites, well we wont have to wait long now:bigsmile:

I think that's what they'll do. If you look closely at http://www.e4.com/bigbrother, the "Big Bro News" segment links to the news page at channel4.com/bigbrother.

andybigbro 02-01-2008 02:48 PM

i thought the channel 4 site usually launched a day before the show begins
