New \"Family\" Reality TV Show

Quote:

TELEVISION chiefs plan to sign 12 families to a reality show that will be the largest and most in-depth social experiment in television history.

Endemol, the independent media company which was behind the popular reality show Big Brother, and the BBC plan to create a show that will dissect every aspect of life in modern Britain.

The companies hope to recruit "typical" families from a range of social background, race and class, who are willing to be scrutinised with Big Brother-style technology for six months.

The warts-and-all series, provisionally titled Families, will analyse how ordinary people live and eat, their daily routines, and how they raise their children.

Filming the programme, which is regarded as a departure from reality shows such as Big Brother and I’m A Celebrity... that dominate TV schedules, is expected to begin soon and end next spring.

They did programmes like this in the past and if I remember they didnt work out well for the families who took part. For this to even begin to work everyone in the family has to be 100% behind it and that is going to be difficult to find.
