US Presidential Race \'08 - Who would you vote for?

Pretty self-explanatory question really.

Who do you consider most likely to win, and who do you reckon will be the two final candidates (Republican vs. Democrat)?

Callum 16-01-2008 08:02 PM

I want Hilary Clintion to win, and I think she will win too.

Spike 16-01-2008 08:03 PM

I would vote for Hillary Clinton and I think she will win.

I think the final two candidates will be Hillary Clinton and John McCain

Jack 16-01-2008 08:09 PM

Hillary's a bit of a media ***** to be honest, and she's quite cold. I'd prefer Obama to be the Democrat candidate. I think it would be revolutionary to have a black president (more so than a female president).

Spike 16-01-2008 08:13 PM

I don't think people should be voting for Hillary Clinton because she is a woman or bacause Barack Obama is black. People should be voting on ther policies.

I didn't say that but I think it would be good for America to have a black president.

Why would it? It should depend on what the candidates stand for not if they are balck or not.

Shaun 16-01-2008 08:23 PM

I like Clinton's stance on health and education, so I'd support her. She also has the experience of living in the White House with Bill, whereas Obama seems a bit too populist really, a bit like David Cameron USED to be [I like him now].

Yes it should. I'm not saying he should be president because he's black. It obviously depends on his policies etc. I just think it would be good for someone black to represent America for the first time. Why would you want Hillary to be president?

Oxymoron 16-01-2008 08:24 PM

I want hill to win she seems the most genuine

I think it would be good to have a black president too after all the racial hatred in the past, I also think it would be good to have a woman president but people should not vote on those two factors. I want Hillary to be president because I think she will keep to her promises of change and she is experienced.

Shaun 16-01-2008 08:27 PM

Obama's been playing the race card too much, to be honest.

That's exactly what I said. Of course it shouldn't be based on the fact he's black alone. It's just a bonus. I think he can lead America. I find Hillary quite fake.

Yeah he has, he thinks he will get support by doing it but eventually he will start to lose support.

Isn't Ross Perot running again?

See my Irony thread if you don't understand.

Oh, and I see Ron Paul wasn't mentioned.

Now why doesn't that surprise me
Anything worthy to contribute to the discussion?

Sorry, I forgot Ron Paul.

Well since "intellectually contributing" is not measurable, your supposed proof can hereby be thrown out of the window.

Back on topic-responses only, from now on please.
