C4 admits Nikki finishing 5th was a fix!
 

'Since the series' final of Big Brother 7, the Channel 4 chief, Kevin Lygo, has admitted that Big Brother executives feared Grahame would win — sparking further backlash from angry viewers. He added that the idea, which divided producers, was to spice up the “sometimes dull” final week.'

It was taken from Wikipedia (i know, not a reliable source) but they have a link to the website it came from (The Sun i think) But the page won't work.

If she would have won she would have been booed.

Nah i dont think it was a fix. I did think she was gonna beat aishleyne though. I was so wrong but that was before i even had the net.

If it's from the Sun then they are lies and if it was true, something would have been done. It's plain ridiculous.

This doesn't mean a fix. It just shows that they feared she would win, and she was 2nd fave to win when she returned. However, she ruined it herself clinging onto Pete and became a bunny boiler. She allowed her hatred of Aisleyne show too much.

This story is true but in no way whatsoever does it prove anything was a fix so ermmmm , a few question marks are in order.

Em, explain how this, in any shape or form, no matter how you see it proves it was a fix?

Because if they feared she would win, it shows that they must of done something to get her out. Bad editing for a start.

I hate to break the ice but if your going to define that as a fix , every housemate ever has been 'fixed' to be a certain way.

I don't think BB fixed anything.....it was Nikki's own behaviour in the house that ruined her chances in the last week. At least she went on to have her own E4 show however short lived and National TV award.

BB did admit Nikki not winning was a fix, I found this in nikki's new launched website.

All the housemates are edited in a certain way which will make them as winners or as evicted housemates. It's not a fix in the votes, it's editing.

Well it makes perfect sense with that article.:thumbs: Like it was said, BB feared Nikki may win, and face bad publicity, so it was delibrately edited Nikki in a bad wayto stop for her from winning, and stop causing another big controversy.

Yes I know it does make perfect sence with the article. But most of the housemates, sometimes had a bad editing in order to make people react. It is how it works. Nikki is not the only one who get bad publicity.

They had nothing to fear. Nikki was nowhere near winning upon entering the house the second time.

The whole bringing back an Ex-HM thing was clearly orchestrated purely to get Nikki back into the house in the first place, so they wouldn't have fixed it for her to go out early in the final and they were probably hoping she'd actually end up in the top 3.

And that article says BB did things to wind her up and make her throw tantrums. Throwing tantrums was one of the main reasons why she was popular in the first place, so if it is true that they provoked her into throwing more tantrums, then I would say they were actually hoping this would bring in even more votes for Nikki. But it seemed to have backfired in the end.

Aye. Her tantrums looked extremely forced the second time around. Plus she came back in almost as a pseudo-celebrity , so she lost a lot of her original appeal.

It was orchestrated perfectly like you said. To add to your points , Glyns punishment also played a role. He had no say in bringing back the ex-housemate , thus increasing the chances that it would be a Richard/Pete controlled decision , and of course they picked Nikki.















...course' then she got chucked out fifth and had a breakdown. But she redeemed it with her erm , presenting career.

Bookies second favourite to win, doing extremely well in a lot of the online polls. When she reentered she was Pete's only competition. The following week would see her popularity take a downfall as viewers didn't like the Pekki relationship (real or not). As Nikki fans dropped, it left Aisleyne as really the only woman left standing (Jennie had no chance). Aisleyne's support was simply Nikki haters IMO.

Of course , but then the public saw how she was essentialy the same Nikki , only with a more expensive wardrobe and more forced tantrums. Hence , as a result , she became nowhere near winning.

The jealous female voters ™ also were not pleased obviously with the relationship.

Aislyene on the other hand was a true cathartic character. She went from being despised , to being loved , to being despised - but loved at the same time , becoming a favourite.

To tell you the truth, I did realise at the end that it did a massive favour for her not winning, otherwise nikki winning could of damge her a lot.

Yeah. 100,000 is a lot of money. She could easily have spent it all on goldfish in one day. Best she came fifth eh?
