The umbles were the poorer cuts of meat, kind of like the stuff going into haggis or something like that I suspect, hence when you were in an impoverished or weakened position that was what you ate.

I suspect the nearest would be the Cornish Pasty which was a surprise to me as before I looked it up I thought it would be the Scotch Pie which I love as well as the pasty

It was all to do with Maddy Mark. She claimed to know where she was and, when ridiculed, claimed that everybody would eat humble pie when she was proved right. I think she did it in the wrestling thread too.

She got a little upset and stomped about raging at me because I suggested she eat a little humble pie. It was all to do with the Madeline Mcann thread so go read through it.
