Hepatitis scare hits party stars

CELEBS including MADONNA, BRUCE WILLIS and GWYNETH PALTROW are at the centre of a Hepatitis A scare following a party thrown by DEMI MOORE.

Health officials yesterday warned guests at the bash Demi threw for toyboy hubby ASHTON KUTCHER’s 30th to see a doctor urgently.

The alert was sounded after a barman at the New York club venue was found to have the highly contagious liver disease.

Other guests at the A-list celebration included Ugly Betty’s SALMA HAYEK, and actresses KATE HUDSON and LIV TYLER.

Fever
Hepatitis A is a viral infection which causes loss of appetite, vomiting, fever, diarrhoea and jaundice. It lives in feaces and can be spread if an infected person serves food or drink.

Socialista — the West Village hotspot where Demi, 45, hosted the party — last night said no other cases of the bug had been reported.

Other guests at the February 7 bash for Punk’d TV host Ashton, who celebrated with a cake in the shape of home state Iowa, included Charlie’s Angel LUCY LIU and Oscar-nominated JAVIER BARDEM.

A New York health official said: “Any patron is considered to be at risk and needs a preventative vaccine as soon as possible.”

Hepatitis A is usually short term and rarely fatal.

However Are You Being Served? legend JOHN INMAN died of the bug last year aged 71.
