Internet Explorer problem

I was just wondering if anyone was having the same problem as me

In Internet Explorer I can't get onto youtube and Photobucket. Also images uploaded from photobucket don't show up on TiBB and other forums. Eveything works fine when I use AOL though.

Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

Sarah. 23-02-2008 08:09 PM

I can get on to YouTube fine, but I have the same problem with photobucket. When I upload pics on to PB, they show up for maybe a day or so and then they just turn white with that little red 'X' in the corner.

One solution:

Use Firefox.

Just out of curiosity, do you four all have AOL connections?

If so, I'd say AOL has some issues with Photobucket...

I'll try and explain this now lol i can't explain good

When I look at a thread in AOL with imagese uploaded from photobuckt in it works fine, then when I look at the same thread in IE later I can see the same images. But if I don't look at the thread in AOL the images don't show up in IE

It's a rather odd problem.

I had no idea that AOL connections were so picky...

It is something to do with AOL moving their server to TalkTalk (I think) They have ****ed up big time. I read it on another forum. Hang on.

Dr43%er 25-02-2008 11:34 AM

Ok, Youtube has something to do with Pakistan trying to block it.

From another forum.

Presumably everyone affected is on AOL.

They migrated their servers to the carphone warehouse/talktalk network over the weekend and have absolutely *******ed something up.

You'll find that you can visit these sites if you use the AOL software (because it redirects to the old AOL servers) or use a proxy, which I have been doing all weekend.

http://proxy.org/

The only thing you can do is ring them and shout at them to let them know its unacceptable. At first they deny anything is wrong. Then you tell them you work in IT and have tried everything they are about to tell you and the fact that you can access the sites through an anonymous proxy suggest that something is royally *******ed on their end, they eventually admit they are 'looking into the problem'.

So, in summary, AOL are migrating servers, they *******ed something up and 'hope to have it fixed by monday'.

Sarah. 25-02-2008 01:18 PM

Thanks for posting that!
I hate AOL even more now. lol.

Spike 25-02-2008 03:26 PM
