After hitting the headlines for her controversial behaviour at the Brits, the outspoken judge has told Simon Cowell that she will only return to the talent show if he makes it worth her while.

Cowell had hoped that he could get Sharon back for a lower price as a result of her disappointing performance on last year's series. Osbourne admitted that she was a "terrible mentor" after all of her acts had been eliminated by week five of the competition. She was also criticised for storming off the programme and clashing with fellow judge Dannii Minogue.

However, Osbourne now believes that she is in a position to negotiate a pay rise after hosting Wednesday night's Brit Awards.

"Until the Brits, Simon thought he had the upper hand and could dictate terms to Sharon. He wanted her back but he thought she needed the show more than it needed her," a source told the Daily Star Sunday. "Now Sharon has other ideas. It has become an almighty battle of wills.

"Both Simon and Sharon are digging their heels in and, at the moment, it's difficult to see which way it's going to go."

Osbourne was recently overheard claiming that she wanted to quit the show.

She was an embarrsement on The Brits.

I thought she was really funny, however I do not know why she wants or deserves a higher salary, when she treated other members of the judging panel like *******... She is lucky to still have her job, how dare she?!

If I was Simon I wouldn't give her a higher salary because she hasn't won the show which means she is a rubbish mentor therefore she doesn't deserve any more money

some people take greed to the limit.Shes **** anyway they should get rid of her.She was a total embarrassment on the brits and shes a crap mentor on the xfactor.

^^ I have to agree some what; sharon doesn't deserve a huge pay-rise. she is paid more than enough for what she does already and her job is no more difficult than what dannii and louis have to do. they sit in comfy chairs and either destroy peoples hopes and dreams or make dreams for those who audition. simon takes great pleasure in hurting people; that's what makes him so big these days.

sharon is mega-rich anyway; so she hardly needs the money. it brings us back to the debate about the (love of money) don't she just love it.

She does Americas got talent too so she is getting enough money off Simon and a career in America thanks to him. So she shouldn't be demanding more money

I agree with the above posters. If Sharon was given a pay rise it certainly wouldn't be based on her performance.

Greedy!! The cheek of her wanting more money when she did a terrible job on the last series and hasn't won it in 4 series' while Danni Minogue had the top two contestants on her debut. Sharon is rich enough already so wanting more money is quite pathetic.
