Internet abbreviations are handy but some people over do them.

Dizzy 30-03-2008 12:04 PM

The word 'Obv'... I'll be talking to someone and they'll just nod and say 'Obv!'
That really annoys me xD
I sometimes say 'Lol' though, I can't help it, its like its programmed into my brain now haha.

Siouxsie 30-03-2008 12:04 PM

Shaun 30-03-2008 12:28 PM

I hate unnecessary abbreviations. Like "obv" and "ye".

Shaun 30-03-2008 12:30 PM

Oh and words which people use, which are completely different spellings of conventional words, but have the same, or even MORE, number of letters.

Like "kewl" = "cool". Why? What's the point?

And people who say "okaii". What's wrong with just OK?

MarkWaldorf 30-03-2008 12:30 PM

LOL I find it useful, especially when your having a conversation with someone online and don't know what to say.

lindsaymay 30-03-2008 12:34 PM

I use k  but when you do it on a forum it just looks like a spelling mistake, so I never do it here.
