2008 vs. 2006 SIMILARITIES

Similarly, many rival reality shows are starting in late May 2008. Could this hint that C4 may take on a similar approach this year and have an earlier launch??

So, what is BB's competition:
- Britain's Got Talent
- The Apprentice final few weeks

In 07, BB tried to win over all competition, gaining dismal viewing figures. Perhaps, last year BB felt it could do this and still come out on top, but I think this year they realize, launch night needs to draw in as many people as possible.

I'd rather have it after these two shows. They will be over before the end of June probably, so maybe a June 14th launch. :dance:

Though I know some forum members would be annoyed about that. We'd still have 2 month left until any official info gets released, rather than 1 and a bit lol

btw, are you refering to this years launch being the same as BB7's, or just reminding us that was the BB7 launch date?

personally, i think June is not a good launch time. Too much anticipation- it'd end up being an anticlimax!

Im kinda saying that maybe C4 could launch BB9 at a similar period as BB7

im hoping for a Friday launch this year.

Channel 4 need to have the launch around May 22nd (Thursday), then everyone will be talking about it the follow day- like BB7. Then it needs to settle into a 10pm home from the Friday and this needs to be kept up until Britain's Got Talent is out of the way which is when they can start playing about with the times.

I agree... i think May 22nd or 16th, no later.... this would be silly
