what do you want to make bb9 better?
i think that big brother 9 needs these fundamental changes to help it get better ratings:
launch night should have 8 hms - 4 men + 4 girls a total of 11 hms should be used over the 10 week series not too many twists - they become pointless highlights shows cut down to 40 mins with 2 ad breaks: about 30 mins actual highlights - it should be shown between 9 - 20 pm + 10 pm scrap other shows like: diary room uncut, big bros big mouth, big bros lil bro + big bro on the couch make a new show called big bro daily - this should last for 20 mins with 1 ad break - about 15 mins actual programme time half the size of the house and garden - make most of the garden a swimming pool + put the smaller house over two floors: living area, kitchen + toilet downstairs - two small bedrooms containing 4 beds and a bathroom in each bedroom + the diary room upstairs big bro should start in early to mid june and run until mid to late august the highlights shows + big bro daily should be broadcast every day in the living area there should be 13 large tv screens - 12 show how much prize fund the individual hms have earned over the course of the series + the other one is for the weekly food prize fund there should be tasks every monday morning to decide how much food they get + tasks every monday afternoon to see how much money they can add to their individual prize funds all tasks should be endurance tests to see how well the hms can cope with mental + physical pressure to earn their food and money the prize fund will start at nothing - for each task big brother should rate each hm out of 20: for example - a hm gets 15 out of 20 on a task - they get £15, 000 immediately added to their prize fund - therefore the overall prize fund could reach £200, 000 if hms complete all of their tasks to the highest quality launch night should be a monday - meaning exactly 10 weeks in the house - hms should not know when the finale is until an hour before the first hm leaves on the final night food tasks will be done in the same format as money earning ones - for example: if a house mate earns 15 out of 20 in their individual part of the main task - they earn £30 for the weekly shopping budget (twice their score in points) for the last three weeks if a hm manages 15 out of 20 then they would score £45 for their weekly shopping budget (triple the amount of points they have earned) nominations should be done on monday evenings after the tasks have finished for the day - evictions should be done on a sunday night hms should only be allowed to nominate one person - if there are more than two people up for eviction, for example: one person gets 3 votes and two people get 2, all the other hms apart from the person that got 3 and the two people that got 2 votes get to decide who they want to put up for eviction with the person who got 3 votes nominations should be done in front of all the other hms there should be no double evictions no one is allowed to leave the house any serious rule breaking will result in ejection from the house any other rule breaking will result in a warning and a deduction of the individuals' prize fund by £5, 000 every morning at exactly 10 am a loud alarm will wake the hms - the alarm will go for 30 seconds, when the alarm finishes, if a hm does not get out of bed within 5 mins, they lose £5, 000 out of their personal prize fund - this will continue to happen for every 5 mins until the hm gets out of their bed there should be 2 lots of double hm entrances in weeks 3 + 5, after two housemates have been evicted: this will ensure that no more than 8 hms are living in the house at one single time some weeks there will be no nominations or evictions the launch should take 60 mins + so should the finale - with 3 ad breaks, this would result in two 45 minute shows on the finale night there should only be four hms davina mccall should present big bro daily and live evictions - she should also do the narrating on the highlights shows there should be no celebrity big bros, teen big bros, big bro celeb hijacks or big bro pantos ever again because they are a waste of time keep the cool eye logo and eye adverts do not release any info to do with big brother - all will be revealed on the launch night anyway hms should be between 20 + 40 (old people and children make it boring) i feel these new rules should make the house more interesting and weird - hopefully it would also boost the ratings of the show, which have been getting worse sice the end of bb7 - i think a shift of the rules is needed for a happier house |

-Fines on the Prize Money of course: the housemates will respect the rules. -Keep it simple: we don't need big complicated tasks. -Bring back the Saturday Night Live Challenges: Laziness attitude should stop. -Stop putting freaks and wannabes: we want decent strong characters. -Not more than 18 housemates: 14 at launch and then 4 entering before week 8. -Get rid of the Secret House about week 8: Too predictable and goes flat. |

Break a not so serious rule, you go up for eviction and must also pick one more housemate to go up aggainst. Reward Rooms for winners of tasks, Hell Room for losers or even for less bad punishments. 50 minutes HL shows Make house bigger Make the prize fund higher 1 double eviction.... Housemates MUST leave SEPERATLEY! Tasks tHAt last between 2-3 days mainly, some(about 3) tasks that are short(tasks they use in the US and Italy and various otehr BB's). Finale must be OVER 2 hours 4 in the finale Throw out 1 person in a Monday before the finale suprise eviction |
Some of the changes in the OP are a breach of basic human rights so couldn't happen. Some go against contract obligations so again couldn't happen. Some are just ridiculous such as only housemates between 20 and 40. Some of the best housemates have been outside of this age bracket.
Good housemates should be looked for, groups such as freaks, wannabes and ages shouldn't be singled out. If this means thats a 57 year old muslim transsexual nun who wants a nuts spread enters and they are going to be a decent housemate then why shouldn't they be allowed in? We want entertainment, not segregation of groups of people just because "they're not good housemates as a whole". Again, some of the best housemates have been from categories people don't want to see. |

I don't see the point in wasting money on a 15 min show and I also don't see why every other spin off has to be axed especially when some pull in very high ratings by E4 standards, or every January series for that matter?? :puzzled: You can't force a housemate to stay in a house for upto 3 months. The show would be seriously fined or eeven taken off air. Housemate age limits are stupid. I don't know why on earth a launch and Finale would be on a Monday and regular evictions Sundays? Presonal prize funds would take a big chunk out of the actual production of the shows cash limit and larger scale tasks unless they find a way to raise about 2.5 mill extra to fund this and still keep it on a large scale large budget show as a whole. I respect your personal opinion, but you've stripped the show way past even the back to basics format. |
I think people should be allowed to walk at least if they aren't its almost kidnap really, i do think however if they say they are leaving that should be it instead of a Chanelle who kept on saying she was then changing her mind.
house needs to get bigger than BB8 and the prize money should be at zero on entering or be deducted as they fail tasks because in recent years of the housemates get fed up they give up we need them to keep going for the money in order for them to keep us entertained |

Well I heard that they have made the house bigger this year than previous, the newspapers and magazines have said that its going to go back to BB3 size which was a little bigger.

So far, the BB3 house is the biggest so I think it should go back to this size.

You do realise if you have 11 housemates there will be only two left in the final if its over a 10 week period.

What I want:
A bigger house. A swimming pool. A decent looking gay guy.. Maybe two if it's not asking for too much. :P 14 housemates on launch night. 7 boys, 7 girls. Limit it to just 1 dumb blonde. Be stricter with the auditions so we don't get anymore "Bonnuhhhhhs". No fat boring old men. A bit of intelligence. Just one double eviction. No secret house - we've seen it too many times. NEW twists. Long tasks (Longest in the box, Stay awake for 72? hours). Bring in two people you know will clash. Higher prize fund. Some sort of special room for task winners. Hmm... Thats all I can think of for now. |

14 housemates big house and garden long, hard, interesting tasks big, infrequent unpredictable twists pets more limits on make up and jewellery stricter punishments allowed discussion of nominations normal housemates. No black lesbian transexual midget morris dancers with 1 leg a larger prize fund a better host |
i would like:
15 hms - 12 on launch + 3 before week 5 15 weeks more competitive tasks £300k prize fund large and very unexpected twists (not another house next door) which mess with the heads of the hms bigger house and garden - done of two massive floors good hms (not bb8) - no wannabes, gays, lesbians or anyone boring |
