I've seen Jan before but I can't for the life of me think where it was or what it was on.

Tv programme on Channel four a while ago :) Sex Change Soilder I think it was called.

"Jan was the subject of a documentary on Channel 4 (UK) in March 2008 entitled "Sex Change Soldier", a candid detailing of her journey from paratrooper to woman."

Thats it! I remembered. She was on our local news (because she lives somewhere in the NW) plugging that show.

if this is true im deeply annoyed and outraged,why should she be fast tracked in to this years bb,when there are other transexuals who have gone through the audition stages,just because shes been on a tv program.if theres any other transexuals who have auditioned this year come and have your say.

Guaranteed you will never see this person on any BB show.

We get these type of stories every year now.

We've already had that gimmick, I doubt it will work again. Its like when we had another non-celebrity in Celebrity Big Brother and nobody batted an eyelid.

im not saying they shouldent put another transexual in bb,they do,the gay,lesbian,bi,cross dresser.every year,but has only ever done 1 transexual.which i think is wrong.i just dont agree with people being fast tracked.

I agree. People will sympathise while he/she - its all very confusing - is in the house but as soon as he/she comes out we'll be taking the p*ss.

A SCOTS sex-swap soldier is being lined up to star in Big Brother 9 this summer.

And former paratroop captain Jan Hamilton, 43, has also been asked to fly to the jungle for I'm A Celebrity.. Get Me Out of Here.

Jan, once known as Ian, will meet TV producers this week for talks to clinch the deals.

A source said last night: "TV bosses are dying to get Jan to sign on the dotted line.

"There is a huge public interest in her and she would make compulsive TV viewing."

Jan, from Aberdeen, returned from Thailand last month where she had final sex change surgery.

It has taken five months for a gruelling full sex change operation - where surgeons have given her a female face and breasts. She is the first officer in the Army to complete gender reassignment.

Last night, Jan confirmed she has been approached to star in two TV shows, but refused to give details. She said: "I can't say too much. I have a couple of meetings lined up but really that's all I can say now."

However, a source said: "Jan's representative has been approached by bosses from Channel 4about starring in Big Brother.

"It's early stages so nothing has been ruled out yet.

"Channel 4 definitely need some interesting characters to boost Big Brother ratings. Producers from ITV show I'm A Celebrity are also keen to get Jan on board.

"She would be perfect. I mean she's a girly now but is jungle trained from her time in the Army.

"Mind you, I don't know how she would cope with eating eye-balls.

"Jan's really excited about the TV offers flooding in."

In work this morning i glanced at the sun (i think, could be the daily star) and there is a headline "Sex-swap para for BB9", with a pic of the para and his new (or should i say her) new image.

She was on that TV program a few weeks ago, I doubt she will get into the house.

as shes now been exposed she shouldent be put in besides i dont agree with people being fast tracked,after so many people.have to travel to audition.which becomes exspencive and emotional.1 golden rule from bb is if your exposed b4 launch night u dont get in

But why put someone in just because they are transexual? Is that not wrong?

no its not wrong to put a transexual in bb because there transexual,its wrong to fast track someone just because they did a documentry a few weeks ago

I do agree with you. Since BB5 the producers put freaks, people with a big story, and what they represent and definitely not for their personality: Nadia because she is a transsexual, Pete because he has tourettes, Lea for her surgeries and all that kind of people.
The producers are not looking for personalities but for 'toys' to play with and to have great ratings.

Well in my view it is. Why should they put someone in just because they are a ******? You shouldn't be judged or merited on if you are gay, black, transexual or whatever. It should just be on personality imo. I know they do this though, but I don't agree with it.
