Jack\'s Big Brother Project *NEW*
 

OK guys, I have decided to start an entirely new Big Brother project. All the anticipation for Big Brother 9 has got my creative juices flowing. :laugh:

Over the coming weeks I will reveal advertising campaigns, house pictures, titles, on-screen graphics etc and eventually a series week by week plan.

The Eye

First and foremost, I have made a completely redesigned eye (which can be seen below). The candy pink and baby turqoise suggests a happy Big Brother, [i]doesn't it?[i]

Eye Flash

The eye flashes this year are not dissimilar to previous year's. They feature a 3D version of the eye, animated and viewed at different angles.

Seeing as I don't have the ability to animate at a level which would do it justice, I have made some simple screencaps of what it will look like on TV.

The different "segments" of the eye will move up and down, similarly to the bars on a music visualizer. In other variants the segements will move up, from outwards to inwards, in a ripple like effect, similar to an oscillating speaker.

Like in Big Brother 9, longer eye flashes which are accompanied by short clips of music will also be broadcast. The music will be short, bassy mixes of the theme tune. It will also be intersperced with the crackly noise you get from interfering speakers.

I like the description of the eye flashes and the shots look brilliant, I have changed my mind about the colours of the eye they work really well

Can't decide whether I love or hate the eye - certainly looks far better on black though than on white, and even better in 3D.

Eye flashes look great too, though a bit too similar to last year.

Thanks. The eye flashes are similar to last year's in stills, hopefully they'd look different enough in animation (but I'm not going to attempt that :tongue:).

I did like the eye flashes last year so that probably influenced my designs, although I didn't purposefully copy them.

Countdown Ad

The countdown ads will begin 10 days before the launch, as it has in recent years. The number will rise from the centre of the eye, with the other segments of the eye moving up and down in a random pattern, in a similar style to the eye flashes. The voice will be female, probably the same voice used in the BB7 countdown ads. The music will also be similar to the mixes used in the extended eye flashes.

They are very creative as well as professional. The eye itself is very intriguing, the concept isn't dissimilar to my green eye from last year. If this was the official eye I would be very pleased! Contact me if you would like me to help you develop it further with my animation skills.:bigsmile:
