SCHEMING Big Brother bosses have not ruled out bringing back some familiar faces to spice up this year’s show.

With no other major events on this summer, they are determined to monopolise the viewing figures by coming
up with the most outrageous and daring stunts the show has ever seen.

Some of BB’s previous hit characters in the pipeline to return include winner Kate Lawler, 27, who is now the face of Anne Summers; Imogen Thomas, 25; Orlaith McAllister, 28; Michelle Bass, 27; Charley Uchea, 22, and Vanessa Nimmo, 30.

A senior BB source said: “It would be a real twist in the series to bring old housemates back.

“They’ve been there, got the T-shirt and know how to play the game.

“So it would really spice things up in the House, and undoubtedly wind up the current crop of wannabes, if some of them were to pop in.”

They need to give it up - Old housemates do not make BB better - Just look at Jade Goody in CBB.....

How would this improve the series .... its almost crying out that BB has had it and has to rely on previous series and people in order to make it work

I don't like the idea of bringing back old housemates they would only do this if they were utterly desperate to get in the ratings.

Why are ~all~ of them housemates that are now models? Why can't we have someone different for a change!

I'm not against putting old faces back in...but I'm not totally for it either.

Update:

Funny enough, I heard on my local radio station now that EIGHT ex housemates are going back into BB to declare war on EIGHT new housemates. IT also said that there will be two houses and they will fight for the luxurious part of the house.

I didn't beleive it but I thought it would be interesting to tell you all.

Don't think it will happen. I think the reason lots of rumours about ex-housemates are popping up is because they've been approached about taking part in a Big Brother All-Star series next year and people are jumping to conclusions that they will be involved this year.

I guess if it were true it would be like Fans v Favourites, but I doubt the producers would put our faves back in, it'd probably be the most annoying ex-housemates. Either way, I doubt this will happen, the rumour started in the Daily Star.

Also one of the housemates rumoured to be returning in the Daily Star was Michelle and on her website she said this was a load of rubbish and has not been contacted at all.

I think the Jade Goody thing has clouded everyone into thinking bringing old housemates back is dreadul.

Come on everyone it WAS Jade Goody; She was a horrid woman in the first place.

You are right with everyword, that's the way I saw it! It could be entertaining.

I think lots of people would tune back into see people like Nadia back in it. Maybe it would be benificial for ex fans who have gone off the series lately to remember how good the show can be, and might bring back in viewers.

Yet again, I really wouldn't be able to stand another summer of Chanelle and Ziggy so I'd PREFER if they did keep it fresh with new housemates.

I'd say they'd go in for one night or something, not the whole series.

i think this would be a big mistake. first of all think of all the people that auditioned this year and the ones which came close but didnt make it only to find that someone which had there chance and got into the house once already is back. second its suppose to be a individual experience for each set of housmates which is why in previous series they were discourraged from talking about previous years. adding a old housemate in some ways could take the attention from the other housemates. even having them in for one day is not the best idea (you just have to look at last year and how pointless having old housemates in for the time travel task)

I would find it cool for one night. Kinda like pirates storming a ship. but bring back old housemates foer the whole show? NO CHANCE! That would be awful

I don't mind bringing back ex-housemates, but only for an All-Star series, next year for BB10 would be good. At least then the full house is full of ex-housemates, the most memorable ones and we can crown the ultimate Big Brother champion.

But I don't want to see ex-housemates in BB9, mixed with new housemates. It's a brand new series and we deserve something fresh after the awful CBB5 and BB8.

I'd like rather this not be true.
