\"get alex out\" chants not allowed to be heard!!!!

What is this bullsh*t, why the hell can't they just leave it alone, and let the crowd do what they are there to do...
this type of thing is really starting to bring BB down, it's not needed.

It all smells a bit iffy, it is starting to look more and more like a last stitched attempt at keeping Alex in...

NOT ON!

would they have done the same for another housemate?

you decide...(well you don't really decide, you just give your opinions)

At keeping Alex in? It's so she won't be fake and alter her personality. It's also so her followers won't try to change either.

Blink_Me 13-06-2008 09:06 PM

It's such b.ollocks!

Big Brother want to keep the bitch.

Slim 13-06-2008 09:08 PM

good point Rory, but they must do this for every show now, or it will scream FIX.... I cant abide ALEX!!! Almost hate her as much as I did Aisleyne....... :-o

Wildcat! 13-06-2008 09:08 PM

That was the best decision they have made all series. Whenever chants are being heard, housemates start not being themselves and try to please the public. Thats what happened last year, after they hear charley chants, Gerry Ziggy and Liam kept having a go at her or no reason, and they started acting. Great decidion"!

Yep. I agree that it's a great choice to not let the housemates hear the public's chants.

I thought at first 'what' especially when I saw Davina walking back into the studio and I was annoyed as I was actually waiting to enjoy the 'get alex out' chants but now its happened I want to wait and see if she still is the annoying person she actually is and if she is on top form this week and the housemates vote for her then it will be great next week as I am sure that when Davina talks to the house next week they can chant away.

rhombus92 13-06-2008 09:13 PM

i think it is good. leaves them to be somewhat natural

poiuytrewq 13-06-2008 09:14 PM

year after year after year viewers wanted Davina to return to the studio because people found it worked better there between BB1 and BB4. she returns what happens? even more people complain

they are not gonna allow chants for any eviction, if they havent done it for the first. And like I said B4, thats their best decision,at least the housemstes get to make up their own minds!

Dan_ 13-06-2008 09:35 PM

She will find out soon enough what the public think of her, when she is evicted.I don't see the big deal at hearing what the crowd are shouting at the eviction of another housemate. There's going to be no suspense or surprise when Alex eventually does get evicted.

She will know full well what the public think of her and so will her other housemates, it takes something away from the game. They aren't meant to have any contact with the outside world, by letting them hear what the public think of them, it's stopping that and could lead to people being fake.

thisisme2008 13-06-2008 10:28 PM

Oh my god yeah that has got to be it! Either that or to get their money's worth out of that rather expensive-looking studio...

bringbackscience 13-06-2008 10:30 PM

As long as people don't change their opinion of Alex before she is evicted, I don't mind.

I bet you that if it was anyone els the house mates would have heard everything.

stonedape 13-06-2008 10:35 PM

it's for the best, and its not just to protect alex but to protect everyone. When they hear big cheers they gravitate towards those people and when they hear boos it affects the way people act.

There should be NO contact with the outside and that includes the 10 seconds they get with Davina. It will ultimately help because the housemates will not be influenced by anything, and be making their own decisions.

letmein 14-06-2008 05:15 AM

Think of it this way: Alex will never know what the public thinks of her, thus, she won't be changing her behavior. Brilliant!

dbh-g 14-06-2008 05:30 AM

I have to agree with Letmein and co.

It isn't an attempt to keep her in, tbh, i don't really see how you thing that makes sense. Anyhoo...

They are doing this, like people have suggested before, so that the housemates are not affected by what the pulbic believes and stop people from changing their attitudes (ie alex, if anything, they are trying to keep her controversial) No contact means no contact and that wasn't happening after BB4...until now.

I hope BB keep with this decision as it is the best one in a long while, and I believe it is a good factor to help BB get back on track.

BTW, L-u-u-u-ving the new set. Snazzy! lol

I know, I love the new studio! A nice little present there.

Captain.Remy 14-06-2008 06:47 AM

That's a great choice not to let the housemates hearing the chants. We go back to the oldest BB rule 'Not contact with the outside world'.

SexualHeroics 14-06-2008 07:05 AM

How the hell are people not understanding, this is for the best! This is going to keep things entertaining! When HMs hear the crowd they become boring suck ups.

Barbie 14-06-2008 07:48 AM

It is so housemates don't know how they are being perceived outside the house... i like it because eventually we will see the benefits... normally we see them wondering what they have done wrong after being booed and then changing... this way eventually we will see them questioning what each person who is evicted has done wrong and start to wonder what is thought of them and have no indication either way so no one will change or become cocky

MrGaryy 14-06-2008 07:49 AM

It probably is for the best!

Jakeh 14-06-2008 08:42 AM

It's a very good decision. The crowd annoy the crap out of me.

max 14-06-2008 08:46 AM

I think they'd had this planned from day one.It does not influence the housemates then ,therefore having a fairer outcome on who's put up for nomination and then evicted.
