Will it be in gaelic or english? Because whenever I go to my Dads in Ireland there are so many tv shows on RTE that my Dad's girlfriend watches which is in gaelic. Which I don't understand :sad: :laugh:

Irish translate to irish is Gailge

in the same way

English translated to french is anglais

so thts probably where you heard it

You might be thinking of gaeilge, which is basically irish for "Irish" :D And like KKBL said, it will be in English. TV3 do not air any TV shows in Irish. Not many shows air in Irish, except a repeat of the news and shows on a special Irish TV station, TG4 (which airs South Park in Irish, its very funny).

I'll watch it, just to see what it is like but TV3 dont have a huge budget so it might, and I think will be, a disaster.

Well that is where my own knowledge of Irish starts and ends :laugh: It's useless anyway. Unless you really want to watch South Park in Irish, then there is no need for it.

I have not ever in my life seen a good progamme that has been made in Ireland. The only good thing about Irish telly is that we usually get shows earlier(DH finished 3 weeks ago,you lot still have loads left). Oh and as Aaron said it's just TG4 in Irish,about 5 people in Ireland speak Irish. It's all very silly.

I'd really like to see this! I miss rubbish Irish re-makes of TV shows. :laugh: I had no idea who Bill Cullen was until I researched him. Surley they could have secured a more renowned Irish businessman?

Podge and Rodge scare me! Actually now that I think of it I LOVE the Late Late Toy Show but I don't think that exactly counts! Oh I hate the language and I'm unpatriotic.

Only speak Irish? It's a ridiculous language,I can't do primary school teaching because I find it impossible to learn Irish and I think it's really unfair. We don't need it! It's not fair to burden it onto people.

That is untrue. Only a very small percentage of people speak Irish day-to-day. The majority are those who claim to have some knowledge of it. The percentages are manipulated by the Government to make it look like more people speak and are interested by it.

im not saying that its good or bad im just saying over a quarter of the population can speak Irish so the "only 5 people can speak irish" comment wasnt fair

OMG its so weird hearing about all these things I used to watch before I moved! Oh the Toy Show, that used to be such a big thing when I was little and then everyone in school would betalking about it the next day, lol!

I'll give it ago, but like Arneldo said, TV3 don't have a very big budget, although they are owned byt ITV so there might be some hope!

Oh and shameful as it is, there's this cringeworthy show called Show Hosue and I admit it's kind of a guilty pleasure for me, I love it!
