I hope it goes on until at LEAST BB13, so I can audition. But then it'll probably be over. Bah.

Big Brother is currently contracted to run until 2010, or BB11.

I don't think the contract will be renewed after that.

i could have gone to bb1, bb2, bb3, bb4, bb5, bb6, bb7, bb8, bb9 and i wont do bb10, bb11 but might go for bb12 :bigsmile: nah il miss beer and sex.

I do- from a business point of view its very profitable. Even in the lowest rated series we're currently in, its still a very very very cheap show to produce and it gives Channel 4 a bigger audience than usual.

But if Channel 4 don't pick it up, ITV and Sky shown interest last time. I doubt ITV would want it now, but I think Sky might pick the show up.

Well Channel 4 would first have to find an alternative way to make money. Big Brother is one of Channel 4's most important programmes because it provides them with enough money to purchase other programmes. Even with the low ratings, Big Brother is a major moneymaker for C4. They'll have to come up with another hit show to replace BB before it finishes.

i say there will be a BB16

I think it will run until BB11, and then it's really up to C4. They could always try and renew it but make it on a smaller scale and show it on E4.

If they chose not to renew it, it would most likely be picked up by another station. My bet would be ITV or Sky.
