Could not believe Shell's dramatics about having no cigarettes!.
Really starting to dislike her hypocrisy - she's running around the garden naked one minute, then makes Ahmed feel like a pervert just because he made a very innocuous display of sexual interest towards her. For someone who is passing herself off as being so liberal, I found her attitude to Ahmed disgustingly ageist!.

As for Nadia, I think the reason the poor lass was holed up in the toilet miserable wasn't a lack of nicotine, but rather the conversation about transexuals. She must think that they all now know her 'secret'.

im not a smoker my self but if your addicted to something in this case niotean it is very difficult to just stop haveing it as your body has a need for it and requires it which is why you have the moodswings like shell did.

It seems out of character that Shell behaves like this from the sweet, quiet girl we've come to know. Repeatedly throwing cushions and screaming due to having no ciggerttes was very scary. Whether this was genuine frustration or exhibitionism is a matter for debate. Personally I tend to swing more towards the latter of the two options.

But wasn't it Stu winding Shell up about the fact she was out of ciggies, that angered and prompted her to act the way she did?

I'm not a smoker either, but I agree with liliacqueen about how difficult it is do to without something that you are addicted to. However, I don't think Shell is anywhere near as nice and simple minded as she makes out, she's just cleverer than most of them in their at manipulating the others. I also think that eebroos comment about her reactions towards Ahmed is very perceptive.

I am a smoker and I have never screamed, cried or thrown a tantrum being without a ciggy (sure, I've snarled and stamped my feet a bit but not enough to grab anyone's attention). If I was in the house aware I was easily prone to get agitated, angry and scream, I would first bear in mind the millions of people watching realising the possible consequences of my actions and perception towards me. I would also take necessary precautions.

And there is a clear disinction to made from Shell's actions: It wasn't the fact Shell was out of ciggies that made her act the way she did, it was Stu winding her up. There could even be a message being sent out there (where's Geoff Beattie when you need him! :laugh:)

I do agree there is a lot more to Shell than this sweet natured art lover, and why I believe her tantrum was contrived to bring attention to herself.

Well she isn't now, but she did last night

I used to be a smoker and I made the decision to give up but if I had to stop in the same situation Nadia has I would have also be acting the way she is! I used to smoke 20 a day and to go straight to cold turkey will be awful for her, it's hard enough giving up in the first place!!!

I am a smoker and believe me if I were cooped up with that lot with no cigs I would be throwing tantrums at any given moment. I do think though that we may be seeing the spoilt brat in shell as well which could turn out to be fun.

I do believe that Shell was angry because of Jason - making fun of the fact that they had no cigs not because of her lack of cigs xxx

I was shocked when I saw her tantrum too - and I thought she was a sweet, innocent type of girl. She also nominated Dan which was quite as surprise as she seemed to hang about with him quite a lot :conf: I think she's being the most manipulative one in the house 'cause she hasn't had any nominations yet.

Gosh. I am glad I don't smoke. I think Shell's main game plan is simply exhibitionism. I like her though.....:bouncy:

I smoke & I can assure you non -smokers out there that although being out of fags is annoying, it's not like being denied heroin!. Shell is possibly the canniest player in the game, acting sweet and understanding, but ready to strip naked at the drop of a hat!. She's like an X-rated version of Anna Nolan from BB1!. I personally don't believe she is as sugary as she has been acting. The first crack in her act came with her overreaction to the Ahmed incident, but when the cigarettes ran out, this gave her he perfect excuse to 'let off steam' - pretending of course it was a reaction to a lack of ciggies!. She's clever and manipulative - and more than a match for the two bedsit bimbos!
