Official Kelly Clarkson Thread [New album finished!!//Duet with Daughtry recorded!!]
 

Hey,
Kelly Clarkson has got an album coming out at the end of this year and a single to come out in a month or two so I thought of making a thread (There was a thread last year, but i searched it and it didn't come up). Ive just heard a few Demo's of possible songs going on the album, and one that stands out to me that might make it on the album is called "Ready" at the moment its just acoustic but I predict it will get a bit heavier if its on the album.

Also some other news, she is working with Ryan Tedder on the new album (Lead singer from One Republic) he also wrote "Bleeding love" on top of all of the one republic songs. He has mentioned this is an album to keep an eye out on. He had this to say:

i hope this album is more mainstream-ish then MD more like breakaway which was huge.

Her new album is gonna be amazing.

My December is definitely her best work IMO, and it's very reminiscent of Evanescence [which is probably why I loved it]

I hope she doesn't try too hard and conform with record producers to be all mainstream. Obviously I want her to do well but I want her to make good music.

Saying that, I've never disliked any of her songs, I'd just prefer her to go in a My December direction

I love Kelly Clarkson, I can't wait to hear her new songs. I hope her album is like a mix of Breakaway and My December since i liked both styles.

I much prefered 'My December'. 'Never Again' is just a-m-a-z-i-n-g! Such an under appreciated album imo, 'Irvine' is such a sad song. :sad:

Looking forward to this comeback but I agree with Darenn, I'd love to see her continue in a MD direction.

I want a crossover between Breakaway and My December.
Breakaway was fantastic, but got overplayed.
My December was totally my sorta music, suited Kelly's voice more and was phenomenal.

Love Kelly Clarkson. Can't wait for her new album. Both those promos are really good.

I much prefer Breakaway to My December as I think My December is a bit too rocky. Breakaway is one of my favourite albums of all time.

Also lead singer of Fall out boy has let it slip that he has done some writing on the song! The more interesting thing about this is that, as soon as the paragraph got on to a forum he removed it... I wonder why?

New title for a song:
Kelly is Set for a single in November at some point... news is so slow at the moment. The record company have done a great job at keeping things under wraps... if all goes to plan. Single in November, Album in February.

Im surprised she has found time to the album, she is currently on tour with Reba Mccentire.

I never really got why some people love her so much. I mean I like most of her songs but nothing strikes me as particularly special. My sister is a big fan though.

Minus her being a better singer than Christina, Britney, Beyonce all put together, the girls got soul, she puts emotion into her songs. She isn't factory produced like every other pop star, She doesn't care about her image, she just cares about getting out music she is proud of.
Her lyrics are amazing and raw and her music pushes the pop/rock boundaries far far more than pink does. In my own opinion she is the most under rated pop star today. She doesn't get the recognition she deserves and the reason I am such a fan of hers is because she is a normal girl with a breathtaking voice. She cares about her fans so much, and they are her number one priority, she turned down $10million because she wouldn't replace some of her songs on her last album... songs written by top writers. She isn't about just the charts she is about true music.

Name me another pop star that does that, the reason you don't find her special is because she is never in the spotlight and she never gets recognized for her potential. Watch her live and you will understand every time I have seen her live 3 times, and every time she has give it 110% and has blown me away, she actually nearly reduced me to tears at the last one. Watch these if you need persuasion, just a few covers she has done, but she is a TRUE performer, no dancers on stage, no stupid gimmicks, its her, a band and a microphone, she is one pop star who is actual real music...

It's why I love Kelly.
She is unique, she's always done things her own way and isn't controlled like other puppets -coughs-
I love her voice, how she writes her own songs and doesn't care about chart music, as long as the music is good. It's why 'My December' was my favourite, because it wasn't all radio-pleasing like other artists.

Can't wait for the new album! OMG! Will be getting this!
