Tom4784 23-07-2008 01:16 AM

I like them, they bring a much needed hilarity boost in times of great BB9 forum aggro!

Conzors 23-07-2008 01:22 AM

MarkWaldorf 23-07-2008 01:27 AM

An innuendo is a remark or question, typically disparaging, that works obliquely by allusion. The intention is often to insult or accuse someone in such a way that one's words, taken literally, are innocent. Innuendo can make use of, but is by no means restricted to, double entendre.

I think whats he's referring to is the threads going on about sex without actually saying the words sex, cock, boobs, ect. Replacing them with "business", "lollie" and "jugs" and what not.

MarkWaldorf 23-07-2008 01:37 AM

Yeah basically you can write about something quite crude but use innocent words to make it not look it.

MrGaryy 23-07-2008 01:39 AM

Usually started by Ross . . . . lol!

Lauren 23-07-2008 01:57 AM

For those not understanding innuendo, a few examples are:

"Big Jugs" - sounds rude, but then it's actually "innocent" so it suggests towards rude things.

Also, "Which position is your favourite?" as well, sounds rude, then you discover it's 'innocent'.

Hope this helps

Ross 23-07-2008 02:00 AM

Well don't ****ing read them, Alex.

I don't like some of the **** you post, I don't complain (until now) as Markus said, it's piss easy.

I'm going to make more now just because I know they annoy you.

I think thats a job well done Rosstopher *Applause*

~Kizwiz~ 23-07-2008 09:52 AM

Like others have said in this thread, just dont read them.... simple as really

The threads arent harming anyone

GhettoSuperstar 23-07-2008 11:00 AM

It's just a laugh, no-ones getting hurt so whats the problem?

Rocko 23-07-2008 12:41 PM

Apologies to anyone offended by such threads and find them irritating.

IMO, Dezzy sums it up well.

To me, all these threads in question look PG safe. Nothing harmful, no explicit swearing or malicious intent by the first poster.

Just fun banter between the members who want to participate, talking about normal things they would normally talk about but in the confines of literature restricted for younger viewers.

I appreciate people have opinions, and its good to voice them but it works on both sides. Two solutions already pointed out are either not posting such threads and not looking into such threads. Personally, I like such threads and its a shame should Ross and others be censored should they try to be proactive and create such threads.

Perhaps a compromise of reduced frequency of such threads, even the creation of a sub-forum for more mature discussions?

Very_Nayce 23-07-2008 01:01 PM

I think you have about as much support as good ol' George W. wanting to invade Tibet on this one Alex my boy.

Time to go home.

Shaun 23-07-2008 01:15 PM

I know people have every right to post them but I think they're quite sad tbh. Trying to be "dirty" on a forum is just...desperate. But if you find them funny then go ahead

But that just opens up a can of worms on what should and shouldn't be talked about in a forums as being desperate or sad.

That's why it's a forum available for open discussion on anything (within the rules).

And it's not so much about "trying to be dirty", it's about pushing boundaries of what's allowed within the rules, in a light hearted, friendly manner.

AngRemembered 28-07-2008 09:24 PM

Oh, I think it all depends on which end you want it in you:shocked:
