Every year Big Brother puts gimmick houemates in and steers us towards making them win.
And every year we fall for it:

BB1: Craig (Charitable Winner)
BB2: Brian (1st Gay Winner)
BB3: Kate (First Female)
BB4: Cameron (Quiet, Polite and Virginial)
BB5: Nadia (1st and Only Transexual in World)
BB6: Anthony (The Pretty Boy)
BB7: Pete (The First Person with a Disability)
BB8: Brian (The First Black Winner)

Now I like some of the winners, so I'm not bitter, lol but this year BB9 is steering us towards Kathreya (first oriental winner), Darnell (fisrt albino) or Michael (first blind person), again the gimmicks of the house.

Can we please buck the trend this year?

Lets get Sara (or Rex) in the final two, Say NO to the gimmicks!!!

It's not, It can be done, and this is the most important time to rally it as the fans of all past housemates need to start coming together for one housemate (my suggestion would be Sara).

If all the Bex, luke, jennifer, etc fans all voted to keep Sara in and win, then she would stand a good chance while the other housemates have such a split between the audience.

A dark horse always rises now after the curse of week 8, except BB8.

I think some suggestions for a gimmick winner are clutching at straws. We didn't know Craig was going to give his money away, Anthony ... well that was just a part of him.

It could be done in the same way that they all have gimmicks. Sara = first Australian woman to win BBUK. Rex = the rich kid who doesn't need the money.

The twins didn't win, that was Brian - first black winner.

We did know about Craig, a newspaper leaked it a few weeks before, the same week of nasty nick, which is what made him overtake Anna as the gimmick and fave. Anna was robbed!

and fair point about rex and Sara, but BB is not steering us to them, well not sara anyway, rex is on shakey ground depending on Nicole.

LOL, I still don't know if this thread is a joke or not.

So how can Craig "first charitable winner" be a gimmick and not Sara who could be 1st Australian winner, first non original HM winner, first non snorer winner, or even first winner who isnt partial to beans on toast winner?

Your terms of original and gimmicks are quite bizzare and could fit ANY Hm left.

Why dont you just find valid reasons for whom you'd like to win and post them here, or explain the punchline to this joke thread a bit more as I think its about 2 words short of being one of the funniest threads Ive seen on tibb:laugh2:

Don't see how Brian (bb8) being black is a gimmick, or Craig/Anthony/Cameron/Kate.

Yeah but BB always steer us to a gimmick to back by showing more footage and such, and this year they steering us to kat, mikey and darnell.

Lets buck the steering trend and make our own minds up for a change. Kathreya would be the most pointless winner, she not been entertaining for weeks (and I used to love her, but she gone downhill)

Fair enough but lets also get real here, this has nothing to do with gimmicks as they ALL could be deemed to have gimmicks if the definition of GIMMICK here is just being different to a past winner.
Like someone said a black man is no GIMMICK, hell thats not bordering on rascist its smack bang in your face rascist, you just cant do it.
Brian was the first black male to win thats a fact, but saying its a gimmick just belittles the qulaities of his personality that people liked to make him a winner.
If Sara is to win its wont be as shes Australian it will be because people will find her the most favourable HM who is left to vote for in the final.

But saying things are gimmicks just makes this whole thread silly at best and very miss leading at worst.

one thing in my defence, I am not racist, at all, and don't condone it, My fave housemates included Makosi and Charley so if that seemed racist I'm sorry. Have nothing against Brian, but BB do tend to sway us towards people.

Why don't you STOP seeing people as GIMMICKS, and accept them for people.
Maybe I want Darnell to win because hes a cool person who I like, not cause hes an ALBINO.
Whats the deal about Brian winning? You said his gimmick was being black- so a black person is a gimmick now? You need to rethink your whole post.

If the best HMs are a "gimmick" then so be it.

It's the voters that vote, not BB, and so who they choose as a gimmick shouldn't matter.

Plus, you said that Kate was a gimmick cos she was the first female winner. That doesn't make sense. There were females before it, just so happens they didn't win. Same with Brian, there were black people in the house before him and they didn't win.

Furthermore, there has been another 'oriental' in the house in the past... Lisa BB7 for example, and she didn't win. Surely if oriental was a gimmick, she would have.
