Sky1\'s New Look !
 

SKY is to give its flagship channel Sky One a massive makeover, the biggest so in 20 years. The switch-over of idents happens on 31.8.08

I like the idents but I'm not too keen on the logo

yeah i think the channel suited Sky One rather than Sky1

Compared to the current graphics and logo, it looks like a major step down. I think it even looks a it tacky.

I don't like it, just does not suit at all.

I hate the new logo, it looks terrible. I also agree that "Sky One" looks better than "Sky1".

The ident isn't TOO bad. However, is it just me or have they taken some inspiration from Channel 4's idents?

I like the ident, but not the logo. The numerical 1 seems amateurish.

Sky Two and Sky Three are also rebranding as Sky2 and Sky3.

That was my EXACT reaction when I first saw the new look :laugh:

I kind of like the new look. :blush2: Certainly better than ITV which needs a new look urgently.

ITV2 is getting a new look on the rather random date of Wednesday 20th August and ITV3 and ITV4 will follow later in the year/early next year. But its ITV1 that needs looking at.

Yeah, the news studios need an overhaul too
Glad the other channels are getting a overhaul, ITV1 maybe done next year then?

I liked the old Sky One logo better, especially with the circles expanding. This just looks like someone didn't know what to do so just put "SKY1"

Just looking at the "Sky One" logo and I just realised how damn creative it is. Those circles are cool. :spin2:
