I don't particularly like Nicole (although she is very entertaining), but I do want to point out that she was intentionally going slowly to lose the task so she could be with Rex.

good point ... she clearly has a feeling of entitlement and superiority.

I have no idea why she does it, maybe she feels like she needs to get involved more in the house because she never washes up or cooks.
