What type of music do you like to listen to?

Pop,Indie,Rock,Dance,R&B sometimes

I like most genres except Jazz and Heavy Metal.

Mostly rock and pop music from the 70's right through to the 90's mainly. Not much that I like before that and a lot of the tunes from the millenium onwards I don't like that much, with the odd exception of course.

I think Jazz is overated really, quite boring. and heavy metal can drive you bonkers especially thrash doom metal :bored:

Mainly dance and trance, but I like a lot of r&b, hip hop and indie, and a bit of pop.

Everything except Dancey stuff (unless I'm drunk), most rap and viking metal.

Experimental music isn't even music, but I won't even count that.

Rock.. like, heavy metal stuff, screamo stuff, punk rock.. just rock in general.

Indie, R n B, Rap, Hip Hop, Some Dance (Not chavvy MC dance though!!) Old Music. My music taste is very varied.

Mainly Dance/Techno but also Indie, Drum&Bass and bits of R&B and pop maybzzz

The following is not an attack on you or anybody else. I'm just curious, that's all.

Why do you like anything in the charts? What makes the things in the charts so appealing to you? I've never understood.

i dont like a song because its in the charts.but most of the songs i like end up in the charts

There's just some people who only listen to what the charts tell them to listen to and personally I find that wrong and slightly creepy.

I agree with you, though I wouldn't say I find it creepy.
I can't understand why people would ONLY listen to chart/mainstream and it does my head in.
Why?
Because there are so many unrecognized bands/artists who are so much MORE talented and produce BETTER music than the mainstream stuff.
&&I also hate bands that change when they become recognized :\

I listen to a lot of Rock/Industrial/Gothic/Dark/Grunge/Punk stuff, but also a lot of Pop/Indie/Powerpop/Blues.
I like the occassional bit of R&B and Dance, but I hate Rap+most R&B.

I don't get how people only listen to chart music. I usually only listen to the chart when Take That are in and thats just to see where they are but people are so shocked if you don't know a chart song!
