Victor took Ahmed aside for the second time today for a quiet chat about his outbursts.

But bizarrely, instead of advising him that a coup was impractical and unwise, he tried to direct Ahmed's ire away from Michelle and Dan and on to Private Nadia.

Victor was sleeping when Ahmed attempted to overthrow the military establishment of the House, so he asked Ahmed to put him in the picture.

"It's good entertainment to make a coup," Ahmed told him, then continued to explain how his master plan was conceived in the Diary Room and how all the problems would be solved if he were in charge.

If he had been Sergeant, Ahmed opined, he would have put his foot down over such degrading assignments as cleaning boots.

"Thanks to me [the Privates] have a shelter now," he boasted.

... and Ahmed begins to see the bigger picture

Ahmed said he would not back down in his 'war' with Dan and Michelle. But Victor reckoned he shouldn't start a new war if he hadn't finished with an old war. And the old war he was talking about was with Nadia.

"You know Jason has a war with Nadia. And he backed you up with your war with Marco. If you switch to this war, it's going to leave [Jason] out to dry," Victor stressed.

While Victor thought Michelle shouldn't have spoken to Ahmed the way she did, he also thought she was just trying to get them to pass the task, because she knows what's at stake.

"Whereas Nadia just doesn't like you," he pointed out.

"Alright," said Private Ahmed, taking on board his new mission.

And they still don't know the real nature of the Boot Camp task - blimey...
