WELL, no surprises in Friday night's eviction - and it came at the right time for our Somalian refugee.

Of all the BB contestants, Ahmed's had the most utterly miserable experience. I suspect he was picked to be on BB because of what he represented, not who he is.

That's actually quite unkind. You hope producers have picked you because of your character, not because you tick certain boxes.

His age and cultural differences paved the way for him being isolated. Ahmed was disagreeable, volatile and at times slightly unhinged, but I think he was simply tired of being ostracised in front of millions - something that would distress anybody.

In the end he didn't want to be there, and who can blame him?

So, undoubtedly, Ahmed going is the best result for all.

The house can carry on happily cavorting while he can attempt to reclaim his sanity with his friends and family.
