Another non English winner

The Scots, Welsh and Irish are the poor members of GB and always make up the minority of the show. Given this situation isn't it fantastic to see another Non English winner

Oh come on. Yes she is a disappointing winner but perhaps you should shut up insulting Scots, Irish and the Welsh. Jealousy?

carlcon 05-09-2008 10:44 PM

Irish? Members of GB? I'll go get you a history book...

Being scottish, I think my point was meant literally. It is not an insult to the Scots, Irish or Welsh. In fact quite the opposite. The finali demonstrates that we may not get a fair share of the house and normally only freaks are selected from our nation, but they do not all do too badly.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious. But you have to remember our education system is second rate and we are only taught those subjects that the mighty English deem appropriate.

Northern Ireland is part of GB. The Republic may not be, but the point and sentiment is exactly the same.

PrimaryObjective 05-09-2008 10:58 PM

None of the final 3 were English oddly enough.

Callum 05-09-2008 11:04 PM

Oh stop being a sore loser! YAY for Wales!

Tom 05-09-2008 11:17 PM

Its not Big Brother England, its Big Brother UK and unless Wales is no longer in the UK then your argument is flawed. Whats wrong with someone foreign winning our series anyway?

Poor members of GB?

Really?

I think that's a rather stupid statement.

Northern Ireland is part of the UK - ie. United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

Great Britain consists of England , Scotland and Wales

if you look at sporting / other events that feature Great Britain , it's always captioned as GB & NI rather than just GB.

Tom8592 06-09-2008 12:04 AM

Get over yourself , people in Scotland , Wales and Ireland are poorer ?

And 5 of the 9 winners have been English (not that it matters what country there from) so shhhh
