Katy Perry is set for a tumble

But after a month at the top of the chart for the US star we are getting dangerously close to deja-vu on a Rihanna Umbrella level. And, let’s face it, no one wants that. But just a few hundred copies behind I Kissed A Girl in the midweeks this week is Kings of Leon’s Sex On Fire — one of the best songs of the year. These American lads deserve a first No1 single to finish off their incredible rise to becoming one of the world’s greatest rock bands. If their fans hit the shops and get downloading it could happen. Meanwhile Katy isn’t giving up without a fight. She has flown into the UK and leapt on Mika’s back as she left a party in Kensington on Tuesday in a bid to hang on to our attentions — and top spot. I don't really mind how long she stays on the top of the charts but I think Kings Of Leon are awful.
